Cuz he is in some sort responsable for something in SH:O
Nope. I think a fan may have e-mailed him about this and Ito posted this in his blog:

That pyramid head has no connection to "silent hill origin".
Comic booklet, that story is my another pyramid head world.
Coming in Jan.25 of 2008
Where is the "There you go, saying nothing" chorus that was in the trailer music for O.R.T? That was the best part, I can't get used to the new chorus "Burning eyes can't forgive you".... It feels odd, I want the trailer chorus! GIEF!
Throw your undies on the stage. No, wait, you're underage!
I bought this soundtrack at an anime convention! It actually comes in a DVD case for some reason... Anyway the soundtrack is awesome and the Pyramid Head and Valtiel comic type thing inside it is really cool! Are we allowed to post scans of it here? If anyone wants to see it I wouldn't mind scanning the insert comic/booklet...
I wouldn't mind seeing it!
By all means do what you need to do.

I believe that, in the context of the story, the wing'd creature is responsible for summoning the r.p.t., but, for whatever reason, fires his trumpet-gun at his conjuration, who, in turn, kills its conjurer.
