^Where do you see that the nurses in two are infected with parasites? I've only seen that in SH1.

When they fall down they've got some sort of lump on their back.

There are no parasites in Silent Hill 2.

>As for the parasite theory, we never see Lisa specifically infected by a parasite.
We never see any of the nurses parasitized, yet we know it happens.

I thought I saw something in SH2. Maybe I'm wrong.

In SH1, however, you do see the parasites on the backs of the nurses and doctors, and they are hunched over. You specifically see Cybil attacked by a parasite before she turns zombified. You see neither in regards to Lisa.

In Silent Hill 3, you see several hanging bodies wearing nurses outfits that are supposed to represent Lisa's continuing torment. It would seem that Lisa was specifically singled out for some reason. I think she is similar to the nurses, but is also different in some way.

>You see neither in regards to Lisa.
You don't need to: Lisa's dialogue explains what happens to her.

>that are supposed to represent Lisa's continuing torment.
No. There is only 1 nurse representing Lisa—and she's seen in Brookhaven Hospital's transition from otherworld to [otherside].

The only thing that I never understood is: Why is Lisa being tormented in the first place? I mean, what the fuck she did? She took care of Alessa, c'mon... This is not right, the drug thing was an addiction, possible not her fault and all that... Poor Lisa...

She was quiet about the cult torturing a comatosed girl who they have burned, she was quiet about the illegal drug business the hospital was in on, she was quiet about the murders committed for the sake of the said drug business.

Secondly, Lisa isn’t in the otherworld to be punished, but to distract Harry. Thirdly (lol) SH1’s Lisa probably wasn’t really Lisa in the first place.

A pretty girl isn't going to distract Harry from finding his daughter. That argument has been flawed for a decade now.

Lisa is alive in Silent Hill until Harry witnesses her die in Nowhere.

Oh, ok. Based on some things others have said and noticed.....I still think Lisa and Kaufman were having sex (cuz of the noises) and that he offered the drugs to Lisa and that made her all loopy and willing to do it with him. She did seem like she was ashamed of herself...or....Travis walking in on them, either way. Maybe it started out with the drugs that Lisa asked for and then it lead to the sex. I don't know who in their right mind would have sex in Silent Hill, but whatever floats your boat. =/ Maybe they didn't have intercourse, but some form of sex I guess. They seemed to have their clothes put on really fast, or they just buttoned em up a bit from lots of fourplay or something.....wow....um....this is weird to examine any further. I dunno really. The noises and the drugs....they did something with em....

Wow, she was QUIET... My God, everytime I see someone doing something I'll report to the authorities, who knows what Hell I can be dragged into?
Dahlia burned Alessa and she got herself killed, and Lisa just for not saying anything gets the eternal punishment? C'mon...

I don’t think a girl who was in a coma since the age of seven was thinking that Lisa would distract Harry with her looks, but rather with her kind and sweet nature, like she distracted Alessa from the pain she was enduring in that “hellish hospital room”. I don’t think it’s that far-fetched of a theory, mainly because Lisa certainly tries to stall him “Harry don’t go!” and so forth.
Lisa is alive in Silent Hill until Harry witnesses her die in Nowhere.
No, Lisa is possibly alive in SH1 until she hurls herself into the abyss. It’s your new theory, not a fact. Personally, I don’t think that theory holds much water, so I’m sticking with the old ones.

Well, call me an extremist, but IMO, if you don’t report it, you condone it. There are so many god-awful cases of abuse that could have easily been stopped if the neighbors or friends or whatever had just called the police. In my country, two men were arrested for raping a blind girl for years, they were her father and her brother, all of their neighbors have known about it for years but didn’t report it because “it was none of their business” or because it was “a family matter”. The men weren’t arrested until the traumatized, blind, fourteen-year-old girl ran away from home and reported her abusers herself.

Lisa was quiet about illegal activities which had cost many people of their lives, and she was quiet about Alessa, allowing the cult to torture her for seven years. Why? So she could get her fix. If that’s not selfish, weak and yes, even evil I don’t know what is!

By that logic Kaufmann wasn’t a bad guy either. He didn’t force anyone to use his drug, they brought it on themselves. He didn’t beat Alessa, he just told the social workers he sees no sign on physical abuse, so he’s totally innocent, after all, if he told the truth Dahlia could have used her voodoo on him, or something. And finally, he didn’t burn Alessa, he just kept her hidden in the basement of his hospital, so he’s totally innocent in all of this.
Dahlia burned Alessa and she got herself killed, and Lisa just for not saying anything gets the eternal punishment? C'mon...
Two things; We don’t really, totally, irrefutably know that Lisa is the Fukuro Lady, for all we know, she could have just died, and Fukuro Lady is either a spirit of another unfortunate person, or merely represents Lisa and the suffering she had endured in her lifetime. –Secondly, we don’t know what happened to Dahlia’s immortal soul, for all we know she’s burning in eternal hellfire.

There are more things to consider too. Silent Hill doesn’t really seem to distinguish good from evil, it doesn’t reward people for good deeds or punish people for evil deeds, it reflects persons option of themselves (among other things). Lisa, with all of her flaws, wasn’t a sociopath, she knew that what she was doing was wrong, chances are, she is the one punishing herself, because she believed she deserved to be punished (if she’s being punished at all).

Then there is a theory that the Otherworld is a purgatory, and if Fukuro really is Lisa, then she’s in purgatory, getting purified while waiting for her ticket to paradise/reincarnation/nonexistence. As for Dahlia and Kaufmann, well, we don’t see them in the purgatory, so they’re probably forever burning in hell.

The point remains: Nothing is going to stop Harry from finding Cheryl. To say Alessa created her nurse to slow him down is dumb b/c the monsters were already created—and they do a much better job at, you know, killing Harry.

>No, Lisa is possibly alive in SH1 until she hurls herself into the abyss. It’s your new theory
First: The theory isn't new. It was recently addressed b/c a conversation concerning the nurses and parasites arose. I've never been vocal on my opinion of the nurses, but I am now, now that I've worked it out more.

>mainly because Lisa certainly tries to stall him “Harry don’t go!” and so forth.
Yeah, b/c Lisa doesn't want to be left alone and defenseless in a hospital full of her dead coworkers reanimated by some fuck'd up parasite coming at her w/ knives and shit fuck that noise.

Lack of success does not mean lack of intent. If I shoot a gun at you and miss, it doesn't mean I didn't try and shoot you.

You did say, many times that Lisa died before the events of SH1 though, which to me, seems like a more reasonable explanation, considering that everything else that has a parasite in them is trying to shove pointy things in Harry’s face.

^This.

Also, Alessa always had a duality to her, she wants to stall him, possibly by killing him, but in the basement she looks at him warmly, almost as if she’s glad that he’s alive, not to mention the ally encounter, it seemed to me that Alessa resurrected him, or remade him or reset the time to save him, or something. The point is, barring in mind that Alessa partly loved Harry, or at least views his as an authority figure, and that she viewed Lisa as someone maternal, and as someone who distracts her from her own pain, it makes perfect sense that Alessa would try to stall Harry in a more “friendly” way, and it makes perfect sense that she would use Lisa to do it.
