tv's and toasters - are the weapons a little silly?

Y a know I really liked the idea of improvised weapons, however the thing about it that really annyoed me was that single use items such as the weights were only one use. I mean they were heavy ass weights you should be allowed to use them more than once.

why do the items break so fast too? i mean, a hammer or a tire iron isn't going to break in real life if you hit a soft, squishy living thing, like 3 times.

They could have given you more hits to make it a bit more realistic :/

The silly part is being able to carry 3 toasters, 2 IV drip stands, 3 sledge hammers, 5 wooden sticks, 2 guns, ....

I think throwing toasters and T.V's is pretty stupid. Travis is like a... Ermm... Macho man who can pummel monsters with his fists. Seeing him throw a toaster is... Well... Comical in my opinion.

Cause if they don't break you just would have a couple of weapons instead the big selection of stuff so you would be here asking what the hell doesn't Travis have more weapons...

The more realistic is SH4, normally you just would keep a couple of items with you for save energy...
