Lil' Trav's Drawings (Spoilers)
Well, I searched for this and din't find anything...
I just finished the asylum in the PS2 version and I finally could watch better images of the pics that are one the walls before fight the mom of Travis... Travis says that those piocs are aggresive and violent and I noticed one of them that looks like a little kid holding a knife...
This made me think about Helen talking about his "Devil" son and the article about the split personallity... I wonder if can be possible that lil' Travis had a bad and aggresive side and also if this was the reason of why Helen wanted kill him... I'm not saying Travis is a killer or anything but maybe his dark side liked to hurt people (This can be that we hear in the bad ending) and this same dark side was that created the Butcher...
Another thing I noticed 2 weeks ago is that Travis has pictures in his truck; I'm not saying this is related with the pictures at the motel but... Just say what you think and gove reasons for your opinions please...

A person's thoughts of doing something, and actually doing those things are two completely different things. I mean you can imagine killing someone, and have dreams about it, but that does not mean that you actually did it.
I believe that Travis had fantasies of killing people, and killing people he didn't like, perhaps his parents out of anger at his mother wanting to kill him. Or out of anger toward his father for leaving him at such a young age. A child will most likely just see the death of a loved one, as that person going away for a very long time. A child's mind is alot different than an adults.. however Travis being an adult, still doesnt mean that his mind can't manifest things that are of a child's imagination.
I believe that the mind as it matures, surpresses fantasies from one's childhood, and places them in the back of that individual's mind for their life time. So lil' Travis probably had all this anger and resentment built up in his mind, but as his life went on and he matured, he surpressed these evil fantasies of killing and getting revenge. And thus he manifested the Butcher without realizing that in his subconscious such a thing existed at all.
So I agree, that perhaps these drawings are from Travis childhood, where he was having fantasies of killing someone. Perhaps when you read that memo, concerning a child sneaking into the mental hospital.. perhaps when lil' Travis did this, he had a few moments to draw those pictures before the orderlies caught him and took him out of the ward.
It's hard to tell, but this is just my theory.

I always for some reason can not find these once I leave the room. I did on my first play though though.
I guess you can believe whatever you'd like to. I personally agree with Aura and yeah, she definantly made him believe that he was one. But that is just what I think. (you personally have to be seriously insane to call your son the devil)
Good find! I didn't notice any pictures
Kinda give me the chills, like that trucker guy in High Tension. Weird. Maybe they're pictures of girls? Like porn? Lol, well the guy he was talking to said something about getting a girl so maybe he's just a creep like that. What else could they be of. I don't know too many guys that are into photography and he doesn't have a family to take pictures of. Hmm, good question.
What do you think they are of?

Wait, some of the pictures are illustrated by Travis as a child. This is very clear as one picture shows Travis and a monster attacking him. This is obviously his deranged mother. Note this is right outside the special treatment room that you fight her.

I thought Travis just assumed that they were children's drawings.Hmmm... The first drawing you find outside Dr. Harris office is named Child's Drawing... I also think I heard Travis saying that the drawings were made by a child when I checked them (I can be wrong) so cause this I assumed the drawings were made by him...
It's been a while since I played Origins, but IIRC, several pictures featured a monster-ish child.Wait, the some of the pictures are illustrated by Travis as a child. This is very clear as one picture shows Travis and a monster attacking him. This is obviously his deranged mother.
His mother was just insane saying her son was a devil, I don't believe Travis had an "evil side" to him as a child. Little Travis just needed to express his troubled childhood and did so in those drawings you find.
Another thing, I keep noticing these other drawings throughout the sanitarium on the walls. Hard to describe, theres one right outside the isolation ward in the dark version, on the wall to the right as your facing the door to the cells, the rest I can't remember but I saw at least three. Anyone else notice these? I haven't really found out what they could mean, the drawings are always of a couple of people standing together or something. I'm sure they're not glitches in the game or something in the textures since their clearly visible and brightly colored and their only found in some places and different every time.
Wish I had a save near the sanitarium to find them again, can't remember where they were darnit...
Oh those pictures in the truck, probably like you said angel, pictures of women. Wait, I don't like to think Travis was that lonely... Places Travis' been to, or pictures of him and his friends/colleagues sounds better. The creators of the game wanted to show how Travis probably spends most of his time in that truck and that he keeps memories there.

"We are such stuff as dreams are made of, and our little life is rounded with a sleep."
Ahh Kupo thanks for pointing out I wasnt crazy.
Ive stared at them for a while and decided that they were crazed drawings of lunatics or something along those lines.
As for the rest of the wall drawings they were violent scribbles. I thought they were from his mom and what she portrayed Travis as. Like the attacking monster figure of Travis attacking herself. One of them is a house burning and a figure standing in front of it. This is what Helen wanted to do with Travis. Another of Travis and her side by side him showing no emotion and her looking terrified.
If this is put in context in a certain way it portrays Travis as the potential monster. AKA the Butcher! Which supports Travis evil inside him and his Mother trying to kill him before the monster is released. Like Alessa's demon inside her Travis also has one.
This also supports Travis is a serial killer ending as his mother tried to kill him and failed.
She went to the Asylum his demon awoke and he killed his father, then off to finish his mother who no longer recognized him "Im not your mother" and became the famed Silent Hill serial killer which is the outfit you got for slaughtering over 500 enemies.

I also thought she drew them. Wasn't "art therapy" one kind of therapy that was practiced in some institutions?

It's 200 enemies. I only took out 211, and I got the Bad ending. And do we even know what that ending means? Travis supposedly killed both his parents, but his mother was under constant supervision and his dad obviously hung himself. So Travis couldn't have killed them; it seems more likely that all of the bloodshed made him think himself a mass-murderer.
