Did you notice that when you pick up that key for the UFO ending, there's moth(s) stuffed in that door? I saw it sort of as a reference to the moth in 1, but it was kinda weird, because 1 hadn't happened yet... But I thought it was interesting find. :)

nope, but i'll describe it lol. It looks as though someone just slammed or shut the door on a bunch of moths. It's not gross or anything like that. And if you have him "examine" it, he'll just say something about the moths... can't remember exactly what he said.

They look like they're still in their coccoons on the PSP, all plastered on the wall around a door or frame, and the barrier preventing you from going up that stairway in the first play through seemed to me to say something about insecticide or similar, from what I recall. That was more obvious when the barrier was down though, and the sign relating to that was on the ground.

It's a reference to Silent Hill 1 because that is where you fight the large moth.
Yeah Origins is set before SH1 but it's just a reference to kinda say "Remember this bit?" nothing major.

Is it the same place? I compared the two locations and they look a little different. But they are are right near Alchemilla.

Yeah I saw them. They're in cocoons, I always figured it was the ones that you fight in SH1 but since Origins is set before, they're still babies.

Exactly, they haven't hatched yet, plus this could've been something that Alessa saw in her childhood, and thus manifested it into the moth both we saw in sh1 later on. Being that this game takes place at least 7 years before sh1, it could very well be the same moth, or moths. It all depends on your preception I guess.

Now that you mention it, they did look like coccoons... I just gave them a passing glance so-to-speak.

It's a reference to the moth boss in the first game, seen as how you're in the same location that the boss fight will take place

Definatly a reference the the first game, given the location and not to mention the size of the cocoons. the moths in SH2 were normal size and the cocoons in SHO were really big.

I found that it was a nice little touch.
