I like the game. I got it for the PSP. I am going to get it for PS2 because I want it as part of my Silent Hill collection. I am a big fan of Silent Hill. The thing is I haven't 1 or 2. Been meaning to get them. I even want the comics even though people tell me they are not very good. I still want them as part of my collection.

Anyway back to the topic. No offense to origins. It's a wonderful game. I still however prefer 4 (sorry). My honest opinion.

Graphics- 10/10
Gameplay- 10/10
Story- 10/10

The only problem is I find the game too hard. There is hardly any healing stuff and he dies too easily.

Apart from that it is a good game.
overall 9/10. Would of given it a 10/10 is it wasn't so hard.

Well thats my opinion. Thanks for reading. :)

Some parts were too easy. See: Puzzles.
However, the combat was challenging.
I too think Origins is a good game. But definately not the PS2 version. Don't get that. Too many glitches.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the game, but this could've probably been posted here. :)

I'd agree it's a good game but I wouldn't say it's a great game. I didn't like the end Diablo style boss and some of the other enemy design annoyed me as well. But not a bad game it had it's cool parts like Twin peaks references, and the peep holes in the hotel.

Comics are ok they'd be really good I'd imagine if I'd never played Silent Hill but they kind of ended up in the games shadow.

I agree. Origins was a very good game. It had a solid story, good monster and level design, challenging gameplay and puzzles, interesting characters. It was truly a Silent Hill game, and I couldn't have been more surprised. :D

I majorly agree with you.
I gave the game a 10 myself. It's actually one that I can play over and over. Especially since I wrote that walkthrough. Lol. But yeah, it's a really good game. It's number 3 on my list.

I agree. It's a very fun game, with an entertaining combat system (I have a newfound respect for toasters and filing cabinets). I wish it didn't rip off of SH2 quite so much, but otherwise it was excellent.

I think that on the first playthrough, you want to run and hide in the dark more than you fight. Especially against those infernal Remnants. On the second playthrough, you can put on your NVG's, equip those spiked gauntlets, and do some monster butt-whuppin'.

I personally think that the game needed multiple levels. Especially since, with certain accolades, the standard level became incredibly easy. But it's a lot of fun until you master it.
