Dr. K = Kaufmann?

Ten years after the original game and Harry's still searching for his daughter.

That's not a bad idea, Harrys_Girl. Personally I don't really care about what gender Dr. K is, but a female doctor sounds more interesting.

Indeed it does, it'd certainly put down and "Dr.K is Kaufmann" rumors and speculation, though if they got rid of Kaufmann, it just wouldn't feel like Silent Hill 1.

Kaufmann is a character that hasn't been adequately explored in the SH series in my opinion. Dahlia, Alessa, and Lisa all were elaborated on and developed greatly in SH1 and SH3, but Kaufmann has always been a little....underrated and neglected.

You're not supposed to like him. That doesn't make him an inferior character.

I sorted Liked him though, the whole "Cold Asshole with a over inflated ego" just clicked with my likings.

Kaufmann is the sole villain of the series who wasn't frothing pants-on-head insane. He was motivated by greed and money. I find this compelling, and makes him arguably the most villainous of the series. At least Dahlia had her beliefs and convictions. What did Kaufmann believe in? The almighty dollar.

Exactly, he was sort of The Wesker of Silent Hill
Emotionally Cold, cruel, and all around Villainous.

No, because Wesker

also had motivations of ruling the world and killing off all the humans. In that respect he shares more in common with Dahlia than Kaufmann.

True, Still Kaufmann is a good villain that deserves his own time in the spot light.

What's funny is that there is already a female character in the series with a last name, "K".

Dr. Miriam K doesn't sound so bad...

Or Doctor K. Gordon.

*snicker* Doctor Gordon. Oh, God, now THAT'S a horror movie reference Silent Hill does NOT need.

In the article it says that there is a completely new character introduced named Dr. K. So I doubt it would be Kauffman. Considering he had a significant role in SH1 I doubt they would be recasting him as anything but what he was. But you never know, it is a reimagining of the first game. They did make Starbuck a female in the new BSG series, so it's possible. But I think since they said he was a new character, it may just be a coincidence his name starts with a K.

Maybe it's Kaufman, maybe not.

Perhaps it's his brother, similar to the show "Frasier". They both were doctors, well not medical ones. Oh, hell I don't even know where I'm going with this...

I agree.

If not for him, Harry would have died and never gotten that baby.

"- There will be new characters in the game like a psychiatrist Dr. Kasks."
That. It's like, right above the scans from the article.
