Ten years after the original game and Harry's still searching for his daughter.

Well I'm glad a few people liked the voice acting from SH1. I could see how many wouldn't though. So the pauses were just a technical thing huh? Well I thought it was cool.

>I say hire Kyle McLachlan to voice Harry. "I'm looking for my daughter...and a damn fine cup of coffee."

YES!!! That would be so amazing I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
I'm not dead yet, dammit.

I just hope Climax does good with the voice actors again, I'd hate to hear a high-pitched harry or a Deep Toned Cybil.

Harry's voice actor has done a lot of work since then. A mind-bogglingly ridiculous amount. We are talking about the voice of Saddler from RE4, right? Michael Gough?

Hmmm... Who voiced Harry in that last segment of Silent Hill Origins? (FInal part of the good ending) The guy sounded a lot like the original Harry...

Michael G, he also voiced Richter in Castlevania Simphony of the Night...

Okay, Maybe let Micheal come back, but only if he can be serious this time and maybe if he can add a little saddler into his voice as he speaks.

I'd love to see them all return within the exception of Dahlia and Alessa, who need a revamp, in voice works.

My favourite voice actors of this game were Lisa and Cybil, but I loved Harry, too. I was indifferent about Kauffmann, but I thought the voice suited him.

Lisa needs to come back. Seriously. Her voice was the best.

Wow, the same dude who voiced Harry voiced Saddler? He has definitely improved on his voice acting then. I'd be surprised if he'd be voicing Harry again in Shattered Memories though.

I actually liked the original voice actors, but I doubt they'll return.

I liked Kaufman and Lisa's VAs the most. The others I could care less about.

Thessaly Lerner as Lisa was also quite good.

Harry's VA was Michael Gough? Seriously? Jin Uzuki? Raphael the Ninja Turtle? GOPHER from Winnie The Pooh?

Wow.

No. I hear Micheal G. is not the same as Micheal Gough. I think I read about it all somewhere here in one of the quick links or something.

Well, you prompted me to do a bit more digging, and while imdb lists him as being the guy for it, someone on a forum apparently emailed him, and he responded that no, he isn't the VA of Harry, and he asked imdb to remove the credit.

So it's looking like it may actually not be him, though other sources strongly correlate to it being the case.

Still, I hope they give Harry a good, solid Voice actor who can convince us he's a worried father and not some Gung-ho Action Hero wannabe.

I don't feel like it's supposed to be Gough, the voice actor doesn't sound too talented to me. Seems like someone they picked off the street. But I liked him though.

Agreed. But they should put the original voice actor of Harry, change the others.

Sake wrote:Yeah, and that justifies bad-mouthing the voice actors from the original Silent Hill.

"Important role" would have been more appropriate than big role, sorry.

One of the game's most memorable lines about the radio was said by Harry's voice actor, Michael G. Surely that's something memorable about the first game you think about. You're not giving the voice actors any credit at all by saying they shouldn't even be allowed to play the remake.
I stress: I love Silent Hill for many reasons.

"Huh! Radio?" is very emphatically not among them.

It has become a sort-of iconic line, but I'd rather remember the game's dialogue because it was gripping and well-done, not because it featured some really goofy, out-of-place shit.

I didn't think the voice actors for Harry or Cybil in the first game were very memorable to be honest. Don't know about Kauffman either, but I liked the Lisa and Dahlia vocies. I hope they get some A-list support for the main roles, like GTA or Deadly Creatures caliber.
