I love the Silent Hill Series. The Games: Homecoming, Origins, and Shattered Memories, did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. Just because they were not by Team Silent doesn't mean that they're bad games. I believe in this series. I Believe that one day, we can have a game that will make all Silent Hill fans Happy. I believe that Silent Hill 8 can achieve this.
Team Silent may be gone, but their Series isn't. Instead... it's here, it's alive.
Put this In Your Sig If you agree :)

I don't want to be the party pooper, but i can't say that i'm all that impressed. i was eager to see a gameplay vid, and now that i have... meh. I know the game is unfinished, so i won't pass judgement. however, this definitely seems like a title i'll just get for my PS2, and when it's cheap. im not shelling out $250 for a Wii just to play that version. i'm not realy a big fan of the cellphone, and the flashlight really doesn't seem all that it was hyped up to be. i did like how those monsters moved, though.
THANKS for the link!!!

that gameplay trailer made my heart race a little. the geeky joy, it is overflowing.
AI that communicates with each other and plans out attacks? outsmarting them instead of blasting them all to death? real-time shifting to the otherworld? the fact that you can't pause to look up the map and other such things, you still have to pay attention to the environment? that beautiful little music track we heard?
this is looking extremely promising. possibly, even, the best installment since SH2. can't wait.

IGN has a video full walkthrough. I suggest checking that out as well.

Value your failures more than your successes. Successes only last until someone screws them up. Failures are forever. She left...and...I'm lost.

On a side note, did anyone else notice that in the G4 demo, the cans where a key was hidden were red (soda?), and in the IGN demo they were "Hedgehog" (Heineken?) green? That was after they answered "Yes" to "Does having a drink help you relax?"
Pretty neat.

Thanks dude, totally missed that. Well...that was pretty sweet.
Good things:
- character model graphics
- monster animations
- static effect
- use of icey otherworld is looking good
- the phone's applications
- voice mail message
- pacing
Bad things
- profile seemed a little short
- most textures look a little SH:Hish and bland
- map seems small
- some dodgy graphics
- highlighted items etc.
I'm looking forward to seeing parts of the game further on in the story.

The trailer isn't very impressive. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of the game, I just dislike the trailer. Still, I didn’t realize it was a blizzard in SH. Really gives a sense of urgency when it comes to looking for Cheryl.
Also, how can anyone tell that the voice acting is 100 times better here then in SH1? They barely said anything worthwhile here.
Anyway, I love the simplicity of the monsters, it's much better then the over-the-top thing Homecoming did.
I'm a bit behind, since I haven't seen the Walkthrough (blame the dial-up), but when I do, I'll say what's on my mind.
