pre-order.
is anyone else planning to pre-order this? it's available for such, and i'm debating it... but is it likely that the price will go down sometime before release or possibly after?
i'm just trying to figure out what a better option is.

I second that. I have missed out on every single promo item so far...saevitia wrote:I will preorder, if there is a promotional item.

The only reasons to pre-order for me are:
1) Being a big fan, you absolutely must get it on Day 1 and it's going to be sold out (this never happens)
2) There's some kind of pre-order bonus item or incentive. (Usually the case, like a soundtrack CD, artbook or a beta invite)
3) You want the limited edition version of something that is going to be very limited that won't be released again... (You get these sometimes)
Otherwise I just walk into the store day 1 or later and grab it. Depending on the game's popularity you might get it on discount a few months later, or if you wait a little until Christmas or something a store might have some sales and bargains going on.

hm.
well, i do want the lowered price, but i also want to get it before the inevitable spoilers - and before a walkthrough is created so i won't be tempted to look at it if i get stuck. which happens a lot.
i don't buy games that often. leaning toward getting it as soon as i can for those reasons, though.

crucifix - If you don't buy games that frequently and want to avoid spoilers, I say you should pre-order it for sure. Might as well buy it from Amazon, since it's eligible for free shipping (though it'll take a bit longer to get to you).
I pre-order stuff all the time, promotional item or no. It just provides for some comfort since I'm guaranteed to get the item.
