Re: The Nurse
^Or like the first encounter in SH2: if you don't kill this thing, it will kill you. Just to let you know that there's a reason to avoid the monsters in the first place. I mean, yes, we usually know that the enemies/monsters are bad guys, but a reminder doesn't always hurt.
You'll be missed. You were missed. I am missing you.
Re: The Nurse
No more nurses please. Homecoming's big titted, hot, hey-it's-like-in-the-movie nurses were the last nail in the coffin. Let's move on.

Re: The Nurse
I think the nurses have been replaced by those Screamer chicks--the zombies who run around windmilling their arms screaming at the top of their lungs. I think it's a good idea.
I am cautiously optimistic about Downpour.

Re: The Nurse
^ This is most likely what's going to become of the Screamer. And yes, it's already WAY better than the recycled, big-breasted nurses. They weren't scary, just annoying with their unstoppable slashing.
Re: The Nurse
^ You mean the ones from Homecoming? There was only one crazy kung-fu like Nurse that used to slash things non-stop. In the Hotel, remember? I guess it was a bug.
But yeah, like I said before, stop with the nurses.
If there is any other nurse in the game they might as well add doctors too. For their own sake.

Actually, yes, it was the one in the hotel. I guess I never wrapped my mind around it being a bug. That was one crazy nurse, haha.Mephisto wrote:^ You mean the ones from Homecoming? Re: The Nurse
I kinda thought the Nurses from Homecoming really borrowed heavily from the Movie.

Re: The Nurse
I like the thought of SH:Downpour having completely new ideas and such but being a really geeky fan I still like those small connections and refrences to past games.... its really cool.... and I like to see them....I don't want this game to be cut off from the rest... I would like to see the nurses again but if they did something new...because SH isn't SH without a hospital....
Re: The Nurse
maybe an original approach to nurses would be interesting something like the nurses-patients from SH4.

^They were just patients. Although, I do agree with your point. In particular, I think it's about time they brought back the male nurses from the original game. Or some other variant of possessed hospital employee.

Re: The Nurse
Someone mentioned that nurses sort of link the whole silent hill games together. I agree. And almost everyone said that maybe nurses are overused and they should not appear in this game. I also agree. However, I think if, let's just say, a nurse appear just once in the game-maybe a boss, or a fan-service creature, or perhaps an easter egg or two...In my opinion, that will be good enough for the sake of the nurse being the staple of the series and at the same time, not exactly a common creature.

I think they were called "doctors," actually.KingCrimson wrote:In particular, I think it's about time they brought back the male nurses from the original game. Or some other variant of possessed hospital employee.
Based on the history of sexy nurses SH loves, the image I got in my head when I read that was... well...
After all, why discriminate gender when it comes to sexy nurse monsters?

Re: The Nurse
Seeing as how Homecoming managed to provide epic fanservice with the nurses that could never be topped, I'd rather not see the nurses return.

Re: The Nurse
Those nurses were NASTY! I almost threw my controller to the TV a few times because of them. At the end, I turned off my flashlight, go behind them and heavy swing them with my axe as an act of revenge and deep inside I thought "you deserve this painful death!"Mephisto wrote:^ You mean the ones from Homecoming? Erm... that really brought the darkness in me. Great... I'm going to get dragged into Silent Hill tonight am I?

Have no fear. As with that Golding novel, growed-ups in a boat will rescue you from your own flaws!sorata wrote:Those nurses were NASTY! Re: The Nurse
Holy damn. You good now? You need to take a breath? Glass of water? You went a little crazy there for a moment. Not the worse thing to wig out over though. I really don't care if the nurses are in this game or not. I half look forward to them, half hate to see them. Either way, I don't know what they would be replaced w/ if there will be a hospital level SHD... Well it will be like SH: SM and nobody wants that again. *sigh* Not even me.sorata wrote: Those nurses were NASTY! I almost threw my controller to the TV a few times because of them. Re: The Nurse
I say no nurses, unless Murphy ends up going to some hospital or asylum, then I guess it's expected. I'm sure he will end up going to either of those places, since Silent Hill loves its nurses.

Re: The Nurse
It would make a lot of sense to have nurses if Murph ended up in a strip club or cheap whore house as well.
