Yep, that's what I meant. But anyway, if you don't get the detective vibe, then you don't get the detective vibe. We all have different thoughts.stopped_clock wrote: EDIT: derp, you're talking about dexter when you said "the series" right?

There was a SIGNATURE here. It's gone now.

There's this song from the EGMi article a few months back, which sounds more Silent Hillish than the main theme (Dan Licht's main theme)

Korn in Silent Hill how much do we need to realize that Silent Hill is dead? No Team Silent, no Yamaoka music, no Japanese feeling but there's people saying I'm still buying it or I'll give a try so sad...
death is in my blood

Would you shut the fuck up and go back to commenting on TRSHE videos? Goddamn...
Do you not remember the shit that was Silent Hill 4? Or how shitty the music was in Shattered Memories? I mean seriously, and all of Mary's music has sounded the same since Origins, and Origins was an ok game gameplay wise, it wasn't GREAT but it was good. And Downpour looks to have a good story being as Tom Waltz is writing it. Sinner's Reward and Past Life feel like they're tied to the original Team Silent Games, they're that good. He's writing Downpour, and that sounds amazing tbh, I have faith in Hullet, Waltz, and this game. Here's an idea. Wait until you play the finished game to decide what you think. Ok?

I love the Silent Hill Series. The games: Homecoming, Origins, and Shattered Memories, did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. Just because they were not by Team Silent doesn't mean that they're bad games. I believe in this series. I believe that one day, we can have a game that will make all Silent Hill fans Happy. I believe that Silent Hill Downpour can achieve this.
Team Silent may be gone, but their series isn't. Instead... it's here, it's alive.
If you agree, add it to your sig.

In a strange sort of way I feel like TRSHE/TwinPerfect are the ones that are killing the series with their hivemind fanboys that can't think for themselves.
But anyway, after watching the trailer again I think any of the issues with the game will be ironed about by 2012, has anyone read Rely on Horror's little article analyzing the trailer? It was pretty cool and some of the screens showed things I didn't notice, like a photo behind Murphy in one of the jail scenes.

^ That's how I feel too. My entire perspective on SH would be different had I never joined SHH or heard of Twin Perfect. But I'm glad I have cuz I understand SH ALOT better now. I think once the movie comes out we'll all realize how amazing the series is again, SH the movie was when popularity of the series peaked imo. I think it'll peak again after the new movie.

Off-topic, but I saw someone suggest to the director of the new movie that he watch TwinPerfect's stuff. Needless to say, I told him not to (even though someone else already had too).

No. If they agree with TwinPerfect, whose videos are factually inaccurate--to say the least about them--then their credibility goes down.Falconv1.0 wrote:Wait so if they agree with you people they're free thinking individuals but if they believe SH is dead they're in a 'hivemind'?

They make claims that are outright wrong, not to mention don't give any sort of chance to any game past the original four.Falconv1.0 wrote:Gonna be honest, not 100% sure what you're referring to.
In an instance of them being factually wrong, they argue that the happenings in Silent Hill occur in the real world, not on a separate plane. The developers have stated otherwise, and I believe in our thread dedicated to the series--as well s the one on HellDescent's forums--there are more examples.

Oh, brilliant. Love it when people argue with the devs/creators themselves over canon.Yuki wrote:They make claims that are outright wrong, not to mention don't give any sort of chance to any game past the original four.Falconv1.0 wrote:Gonna be honest, not 100% sure what you're referring to.

I seriously believe that the Korn song fit better in my opinion. Seriously guys, listen to the lyrics in the Korn song, to me that is a clue as to what the storyline may or may not be about in Silent Hill downpour.nicole84 wrote:So much better indeed. Good job! Seriously, the new song put in there, does not fit all the action that is going on in the trailer. Again this is just my opinion on this matter, I'm sure I'll catch alot of flack for saying so.
The only way for evil to continue, is for good men to do nothing!!!!

Anyway... If the game is pushed until march, I hope we will have a new trailer or even better, a new audio track from Daniel Licht.

Oh, and has anyone read The Hunger Games? TRSHE/TwinPerfect = Capitol of Panem, IMO.

Re: TGS TRAilLER (coming soon) and KORN SONG (in the topic)
I've noticed a couple of things in the trailer I'd like to point out.
1) At one, Murphy calls an offscreen character "Ricks." I'm presuming he's another convict from the bus, possibly the dude with the epic pornstache who has been prominent in a lot of the trailers. I'm thinking that he might serve a similar purpose to Eddie and Angela, i.e. a supporting character going through their own personal journey at the same time Murph has his own experiences.
2) Whitney has already pointed out a specific photo on the wall of Murphy's cell that apparently shows him holding a baby. However, I noticed in another look at his cell that even the opposite wall is covered in photos. I think this may have at least a little significance.
3)There is also an emphasis in the TGS trailer on a prison guard wearing black leather gloves. Until we get an official name, I'm calling him Cobra!
4) We see Murphy and Howard standing in front of a gate in one portion of the TGS trailer. The gate reminds me of a similar one from the 1931 Dracula. Just a little Dracula fangasm.
