Re: Downpour Delayed Until March 2012?
^In fairness, it kinda sounds like it needed to be delayed longer from that description. You say the delay didn't make the game any better but you have no idea of how bad it was when they decided to release 2011 instead of 2010.

Re: Downpour Delayed Until March 2012?
The game needed some fine tuning, but they probably aren't going to work on the issues i'm concerned with...heh as in the combat and the art-direction/color scheme palletes....and also the red damage and flashing items effects...
Re: Downpour Delayed Until March 2012?
I haven't a problem with the combat or colour scheme, but those red flashes when damage is taken...
Re: Downpour Delayed Until March 2012?
I personally love the color scheme, and in regards to the red flashes, I think there's a slim chance they'll make it optional like the low health warning. Once again, a slim chance, all things considered.
...nothing really unusual down there.

March? Damn. That's a ways off, but I also heard the HD will drop sometime in January so I can replay the classics to get my fix.

So why are we hearing this from Gamespot and not the Devs?

Because games have "journalists" (read mouthpieces) that filter and deliver information. Devs would require having a means of getting their information to the widest number of relevant readers possible to have anything they announce actually matter. Sites like gamespot, that actively seek and relay info on games, devs, events, and whatever, are much better at reaching a wider number of readers because more people will frequent a general info site than a niche site that only the most devoted would see.

Re: Downpour Delayed Until March 2012?
As I was browsing the web for Silent Hill: Downpour articles... I came across a rather interesting link which I found to be rather humorous seeings how it's not slated for release till 2012:
The Title read as follows: "This week's game releases: Battlefield 3, Disney Universe, and.... drumroll please... SILENT HILL: DOWNPOUR"
My first reaction was to raise an eyebrow in a "What the hell?" sort of manner... lol

It's an awful celebrity gossip website, so I can't say I'm surprised at there not being correct information present.

One only has to play 2006's 'Sonic the Hedgehog' to understand that a delay isn't a bad thing, but at the same time we humans only have so much time to spend waiting for something. I like to live in the present.

Absolutely... though one can also have Skyrim to distract their attention till Downpour comes out.

Exactly. I have several new games to hold my attention until Downpour is released. Of course, when it does come out, any game or artistic project I'm in the middle of will be immediately cast to the side for a while. March cannot come soon enough!

Skyrim would probably take that long to complete, anyways.

And for those of us who weren't drawn by Skyrim's gameplay, we can wait for Bioshock to suck our time until Downpour is available!

I was unhappy that the game got pushed back, but I never knew the reason why. I assumed it was glitchy or had other problems. I still can't wait to play it though, I just want it to be better than Homecoming.

Yeah, I'm hoping this game will focus more on exploration than combat.

Has Bioshock Infinite been dated yet? that's my most anticipated game for 2012.
anyway, im sure the Delay is a good thing. we had enough people here complaining about little things, so i'm sure most of those issues will be resolved with the extra time. i'm just hoping for a PC version, that'll allow for 60fps, and graphic options.
