Why this is not the logo:

-RP sign
-Screenshot is of the little flash at the E3 trailer
-The old logo is used (Where's the clock and city?"
-PSN logo, game is confirmed not to be online, although it was considered (Book of Memories will be the new online game for VIta).

Please everyone, just stop with these fake boxarts. It's easy to tell just by looking at the logo.

Is amazon your source?

It is certainly nicer than the previous one that popped up, but it doesn't match the official logo, unless they changed their minds on the town rooftops.

edit:

That doesn't mean a boxart isn't official, that just means the final version of the game hasn't been given to the proper ratings boards.

I found this boxart in a professional italian site, that's not my fault, just wanted to share it with you all.

By the way i know that it was an e3 trailer shot, but it fits very well.

The logo with the clock sucks, IMHO.

Just so you know, the PSN logo appears on offline games as well. It is for things like Trophy Integration & possibly DLC. So whoever said that the "Playstation Network" wouldn't appear on the boxart...you're wrong.

Yeah, it's fake. I want it to be that depiction of Murphy sitting in the rain with his eyes closed. He looks so distressed. I think it'd be great.

Finally a legit boxart ! Thanks for the link.
I would have preferred something more subtle, but I like it. It kind of reminds me of the UK cinematic poster for Dead Man's Shoes.

It isn't bad.
I'd prefer it be without the weapon, but whatever.

It seems pretty "subtle" to me. None of the SH games have a cover that really show what the game is like. This one fits right in.

I love the Silent Hill Series. The games: Homecoming, Origins, and Shattered Memories, did nothing wrong whatsoever, they were developed well, and did things different. Just because they were not by Team Silent doesn't mean that they're bad games. I believe in this series. I believe that one day, we can have a game that will make all Silent Hill fans Happy. I believe that Silent Hill Downpour can achieve this.
Team Silent may be gone, but their series isn't. Instead... it's here, it's alive.

If you agree, add it to your sig.

I would have preferred a shot of Howard somewhere on the cover, but this will do just fine for me.

In my eyes, it's just as bland as SH2, 3, & 4's covers. It could be way worse.
I think it fits in just fine. Nothing great, but it isn't horrible. Maybe it'll grow on me over time & I'll love it.

I'll just say what I said in another Silent Hill forum.

This just looks like a watered down (see what I did there?!) Origins box art. It's not awful but it's not exactly appealing. My biggest criticism is that people who aren't familiar with Silent Hill have next to nothing to go for upon seeing it. It's a dude with an axe in some rain. It's not intriguing at all and I have no doubt in my mind they'll lose some sales for it.

All it has going for it is the name alone. Which I hope is enough to appeal to gamers to check out the back and see what the game is all about. Hopefully the back is a lot more interesting. If not, then I at least hope the the game itself is enough for word of mouth to sell it.

Could be a lot frickin worse though. It's better than some of the other North American box art. SH 3 and 4 were a lot worse.

I quite like it. And it's a lot better then the UK Homecoming cover. That was horrible.

The one on Amazon (UK) looks like this:

I really like it, a lot better than the one posted above, but I'm not getting my hopes up for good cover art like this because Shattered Memories had a really cool cover on Amazon UK up until launch and ended up getting the same 'Cheryl on swing' one in the end.
