The thief in the apartment .
You know that room in the apartment building, on the door there's a letter which shows us the guy inside is a thief. We go in, he has hung himself?
Is it me or is it Murphy? It seemed to me that the character model used is Murphy's. I might be wrong and it might be someone that looks a lot like him.

I remember taking a pretty good look at the guy and not thinking he looked a thing like Murphy. He just looked like some random guy to me. If it IS actually Murphy, I don't think it would make a lot of sense but there is a possibility from a memo gotten later on (IF Murphy was the one to write it -- I have my doubts since he doesn't comment at all) that he did have urges to do such a thing. Unless that's the case, though, Murphy corpses popping up like a certain other protagonist's would seem downright silly and Downpour's Otherworld is pretty busy enough as it is.

Yeah, I thought about it makes no sense to have them on that rope, and that's what made me check closely to see that he has the same scar.

They may have just used a character model similar to Murphy's. I didn't take a close enough look at him honestly, so I can't say for certain. I don't see how it would make sense for it to be him. Even if he did have urges to steal, that's the last thing he needs to worry or feel guilty about.

Oh, this happened in several spots actually. I remember running into several dead bodies and thinking they looked either exactly like or a lot like Murphy. Figured it was like the dead body in SH2 that uses James character model.
So, if it is his character model, I doubt it's related to the side-quest itself.

I agree, I too ran across multiple sort of Murphy lookalikes. I do think though it is not for a very particular reason. Probably mostly for all the good WTF moments, with no deeper meaning to it.

Well I figured it was either about Murphy's guilt or just because Murphy was a prisoner and they get executed sometimes? Former is much more likely than the latter. Again, it wouldn't be the first time this happened.
Re: The thief in the apartment .
I didn't really think any of the bodies looked like Murphy, and I was checking.

The only hanging body that really stuck out to me was actually at the orphanage. The first time you go outside, by the playground, there's a body hanging by or on a tree branch and it's wearing the same prison uniform Murphy had been but it didn't look like him to me there either.

It was one of the prisoner's that escaped from the transport. I'm fairly certain you can actually find all of them around town after the bus crashes. One at the beginning--the Spanish guy in the basement... I feel like I'm missing more, too.xoxsnoof wrote:The only hanging body that really stuck out to me was actually at the orphanage. yeah, some of those convicts looks similar to Murphy (the thief of the apartment looks waay to much like him), but some of them are different models and have different numbers.
At first i thought they were the criminals that were in the bus with Murphy, but they were 6 (not including Murph) and there are like 10 or so corpses all around SH
