Silent Hill Downpour now supported on Xbone.

Looks like Microsoft has updated Xbone to run the Xbox 360 version of the game, and it's purchasable from the store.

So technically it's backwards compatible with the digital purchase. Someone should check if the disc version works.

It's been playable on the Xbox One for a while now. I played it on there last year and again earlier this year.

I heard it was running on emulation and there were issues with framerate? Does it work better now? Or is this news just that it's up on the store?

UPDATE: From what some have said, it was originally available as a BC title, but was delisted a few years back, likely for licensing reasons, but has now been re-added.

It worked a lot better than I remember it when I played earlier this year. Honestly the framerate issues (which were originally there on the XBox 360 as well and wasn't just an emulation issue) were my biggest issue with the game. Now that it runs way smoother (still not perfect) it just further cements it as my favorite game in the series.

It’s definitely playing a lot smoother than at launch. Still like this game. The town, side quests, and areas are all great. The monster designs and the Willy Wonka-ness of the other world stuff still brings it down for me, though.
Another frequency perpetuated into context, trapped in the eternal paradox.
