If you've gotten the "Surprise" ending, or know about it, check out this link. You might see something familiar about halfway down the page.

Yes, the post date is accurate. And no, I do not work for Vatra or Konami or Team Silent. But maybe, just maybe, great minds think alike...

Great minds could get a game that looks so muddy to run a bit better. Also great minds wouldn't allow those prison monsters to exist.

Yes, the fact that his model used to look less like something made out of plastic is what's wrong.

I'm not saying the game was perfect (it wasn't), I'm just saying that a "joke" ending that I came up with, years before "Downpour" was released, was oddly similar to the "joke" ending in "Downpour". Probably just coincidence, but interesting to speculate on.

I'm just saying you said "maybe" great minds think alike, I'm simply debunking the idea anyone on Vatra comes close to that of a "great mind". Maybe a decent one? Eh?
Eh.

Re: Something interesting...
We get it, Falconv1.0. You didn't like it. Moving on.
I've been saying for years that all good endings copy the ending to Labyrinth (1986): it ends in a giant party at which all the good people are at, and the antagonist has to watch from the window. I would've liked the Surprise! ending more if Walter Sullivan were outside the window, staring in, in the cold rain.

Re: Something interesting...
That does sound like a good ending, though I never saw that particular movie. Saw some other movies with similar types of visual FX (Dark Crystal, NeverEnding Story), but missed that one.
I think that well-done endings come in all shapes and sizes. Even dark ones can be OK, as long as they make sense. A good example, at least for me, is the end of Stephen King's "The Running Man". It's far from happy, but it's grimly satisfying. In a game like SH, sometimes happy endings are out of reach.
