The one I always seem to have a hard time with is the one in Downpour with the different symbols you have to find. I can only ever seem to find one or two, and the locations are scattered all over the place, so it's a pain to locate all the symbols in the first place, and then place them in the right locations all over town. Considering how much I get lost in the game to begin with, I found this quest to be very tedious and I have never finished it.

There is one kind of puzzle that I LOATHE. It's the kind were you have a safe that you need to unlock, and it has a few different dials. Once you figure out the right combination and attempt to turn the dials, they will spin over the number you need. And then you have to figure out how to turn all the dials to get them to line up the way you need them to. I hate those ones!

I just know tomm hullett was the one who did this puzzle because its so poorly written. I ultimately got the combo right by just randomly pressing the color buttons for 15 min.
Maybe I just think differently because that puzzle was super easy for me to solve on all puzzle difficulty without a walkthrough. Don't know why you think it's so hard and can't be solved because of how it's written.

Ugh, yeah. That one I always had trouble with no matter how many times I play the game. I need to check which direction to go every time because I refuse to spend an hour trying to figure out the correct dial in which specific order.

I got a bit stuck with the puzzles mainly because I switched off the game action icons; I had problems with the chandelier one because I didn't realize that i had to pick up the damn blue candles... After all evrything was logic, if a switch allows is still interactive after you use it once it's because you need to do more with it...

The numers on the prison weren't that hard although I also got stuck there (Mainly because I suck at combat); after looking for the final number (And killing several prisoners by a while) I realized that the only place with the shoeprints that I hadn't check out was the beginning of the trail...

A cell phone camera has become a good replacement for pencil and paper, I even took lots of photos of suspicious numbers, symbols and other stuff around the town thinking that I could need them later...

At first I also ran around through the town looking for the next destination, it was when i finally realized that the lit street lamps, windows and porches are guides for the accesible buildings... After that I never got lost again...

My least favorite SH puzzle is the sliding tile puzzle in Alex's dads room in Homecoming, the one that has some double tiles on it, Its's not overly difficult to do but it's super easy to really mess it up. And it can be ball bustingly annoying.

The more obscure illogical puzzzles are what SH is all about.

One of my favourites:
PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER_SHOW PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER:
The two rings on the Woman's fingers on the door in Brookhaven in SH2.
Not much of a "puzzle" but I thought it was really cool.
