Sorry for the cheap pun
I know you can strafe in 3d but I find the controls cumbersome so I play in 2d.What's your opinion?

I think I might have strafed once. Against the Memory of Alessa.

Having read the word strafe five times in a few seconds, it's now lost it's meaning.
As for me - I never strafe. So - 2D it is.

3D
What's the point of going so far as having videogames in 3D, only to control in a 2D way? Bwahahahaha!

I liked doing it in 3D for SH2 but I did it in 2D because I was used to that from the RPG's I was playing at the time, heh.

never dreaming that one day that beautiful thing in flight would land on this earth and into my arms

2D is way more responsive but 3D feels much more solid if you know how to control it.
I used to always play 2D, but after being Silent Hill 1 on the PSX recently I find myself going 3D...
I pretty much HAD to learn how to play that way.

I prefer 3D. All the cool kids strafe.
Do not nudge, kick or jiggle the seat in front of You. I am sitting there, I am everywhere at once, and I will cut you up!

Whichever the default control system is. I'm guessing that's 3D.
In Silent Hill, although I'm sure if you use it occassionaly it helps, strafing is pretty useless, unless you're using a melee weapon...

3D is way better for me because it's independent of the camera angle. I hate having to adjust direction every time the camera changes. (Fatal Frame 2 is terrible for this)
The only exception is escaping from the Haunted Mansion, because you're always running towards the camera, so you can just keep pressing "down" !

Until The Room, I always used to play using the 3D type. Now I love the 2D type to death and don't really know how I managed without it.
