Are Cluadia and Dahlia related

Heather finds out why it's true that you shouldn't talk to strangers. Or look in mirrors, quite honestly.

What, other than the card, and practically every line of Claudia's dialogue?
she doesnt say that dahlia is close to her. i dont remember her even mentioning her name hardly.

Yeah, but Claudia is blabering it all the time. She says it every 15 minutes... Well it doesn't mean it's true, but still, why would she make something like that up?
It's a term of endearment. I often call my best friend Sean my 'brother', though we're not in any way blood relatives.

Oh, they did know each other. Seemingly very well. Almost well enough to
be .............

When Cluadia speaks to Heather in the end, does it sound like she is talking to
a stranger, or someone close to her in her past? Do the math.

I was just reading the info on the www.translatedmemories.com and it says there that Claudia and Heather aren't really sisters.

When I think about it I don't know exactly what made me think that. Is there somewhere a copy of every dialog line of all 4 game parts?

I was thinking about Dahlia and Claudia today, and did a search. I couldn't find any specific topic on this, except of this one which somehow talks about Dahlia and Claudia.

So, if this is already been discussed, please link.

Reading through Lost Memories, I found that Claudia's purpose was Salvation, while Dahlia never mentions the word "salvation" and is then believed to be a more negative character.

I found posts in SH1 section about Dahlia aiming to Alessa's powers.

I don't remember much about what was revealed in SH1 on her purpose, but I remember one statement in the final part of the game:
Dahlia: It's been a long seven years...
For the seven years since that terrible day, Alessa has been kept
alive, sufferring a fate worse than death. Alessa has been trapped
in an endless nightmare, from which she never awakens.

"He" has been nurtured by that nightmare. Waiting for the day to
be born. That day has finally come.

The time is neigh. Everyone will be released from pain and
sufferring. Our salvation is at hand. This is the day of
reckoning. When all our sorrows will be washed away. When we
return to the true paradise!

My daughter will be the mother of God!

Well, if she's not acting (I don't see reasons for doing that during the very end of the game), she actually talks about Paradise and Salvation.
Same themes as Claudia.

So, had the two different purposes, or in the end they both wanted to give birth to God to create Paradise & Salvation? Any ideas / evidences?

Many thanks.

i believe the use of "salvation" in silent hill 1 was included only by the english translator. it is not there in the japanese script. and because "silent hill chronicle" is a japanese book, it coincides w/ the japanese scripts of the games.

Uh, dammit.

Does it modify all the sense, too? For instance, the word Paradise, and "sorrows washed away → happiness"...?

Or could we state that Dahlia really wanted to give birth to God to "save" people and give them a "paradise" like Claudia did?

Or is there any evidence of Dahlia's dark thoughts and selfishness, proving that she wanted to get powers for her alone?

To get back on topic about Claudia/Dahlia/Alessa being related, there is a line in the game when Heather is speaking to Claudia in the church where Heather says something something "My dear sister". I don't use it as proof that they are related I just think it could have confused some people. But when you throw in the fact that most religious orders call each other brother, sister then it makes sense.

Alessa/Claudia (I forget which) says "I love you like you were my sister", in a birthday card to the other one, actually.

Is the salvation bit only mistranslated in the first game or in both 1 and 3, Thomas?
That picture is awesome!
I think the card and Heather's line in the church throw people off. After my first time through the game, I thought after those 2 lines that they were sisters as well, and that Dahlia was their mother, but when I played again, I realized it just wasn't so.
