Game freezes

I just bought Silent Hill 3 and installed it with no problems, but when I start it up, it freezes. Only the lower right portion of the screen displays the game, the rest of it flashes black. It shows the disclaimer's text, but no picture (if there's supposed to be one), and it remains on screen as I can hear the music video in the background. I haven't tried actually playing the game yet.

I had problems with Silent Hill 2 due to my video card's antialiasing which I worked out, so has anyone encountered this crash or know how to fix it?

EDIT: I know now that some people have run it using 3DAnalyze, can anyone tell me the settings they've had it run fine on?

What program is the game on, Windows xp, vista, Mac?

I've had the same problem too. Never found out how to fix it, so i just got a new copy of the game, after searching for almost 4 months!
