Playing the movies of silent hill 3 (pc version)?

For some odd reason whenever I start the game the intro has an issue (it's like someone filming a picture by picture movie) so I decided to try and see the movie files directly from the C:/silenthill3/data/movie...thing is...I can't open the files with any of my usual media players (kmplayer, vlc player...)

So I was wondering if someone knows what program I need in order to watch the movies.

Have you googled the file extension and tried? Maybe they used a decompressor that only Konami has the rights to use and so you could be out of luck on that one.
