I think the JP cover is the best. The red color scheme really outlines the fear and anxiety you feel as you play through the game. Not to mention it looks undeniably stylish. On the other hand, the US cover makes things more subtle, and the focus is rather on Heather's facial expression rather than what is surrounding her. If you pay attention closely, Heather looks less scared in the US cover than she does in the JP cover. This can make the effect of fear seem more effective, as it catches the player by surprise, where it is made much more obvious just by looking at the JP cover.. What are your thoughts?

Out of the US covers, I've always thought that SH3 was the best, followed surprisingly by Homecoming.

Out of these three, I like the UK cover a little better than the US one, and rather dislike the JPN one.

Im going to agree with the Japanese cover, I like her stance in that one. She looks like she is ready to fuck some shit up and it is representative of what is in store when you play. The red does work well but the only thing I thought they should do without is the big 3 in the corner. It isnt needed. Either they should have kept that and the title smaller in the corner or left off the big 3.

I do not care much for the UK version, it looks like pic of Heather with one photoshop filter on it.

The US is nice because Heather is pretty and you can see her so clearly. It doesnt say much about the game though.

I'm voting for the UK one. It shows the true colour of Heather, her true mental state and complex disordered personality, you can see her pain and suffering from it. The JP is too "Die hard", while the US too simple for such a complex game.

To me personally the japanese cover has a more Resident Evil feel to it more than anything and thats not what I'm looking for when I look for Silent Hill. I do like the UK version a lot more than the american one which looks like it should be a magazine cover. The UK version just seems more Silent Hill than any of the others in my opinion!

Yeah, I'm a sucker for stylish covers that show off their cute female lead. Maybe that's why I'm not too fond of the UK cover, even though it accurately projects Heather's mental state and seems the most Silent Hill-ish.

Definitely the UK one. It looks abstract and grainy, and similar to the cover for SH 2. The Japanese version looks a little too busy and uninspired, and the US one mostly has Heather's fat head taking up most of the cover with only a very small glimpse of the otherworld in the background and doesn't really convey much of what the game is about.

US cover for me. The japanese one is too ACTIONY and the UK grainy thing doesn't impress me or make me feel a spooky vibe. Don't get me wrong I love abtract art and abstract things, just not that.

I picked UK. Cool, I don't usually side with the majority, I mean I'm a Digimon and Spider-Man 3 fan for fucks sake.

The U.S. version is dumb. It's like the cover of the Dirty and Barely-Legal Maxim edition. The Japanese cover is equally dumb for different reasons—like What the fuck is that white globular mass at the bottom and why is it silhouetting Pac-Man? The U.K. cover is just right. Not too much. Not too little.

I like them all about the same. None of them really "fit" the game.

US Version is so much like a bad mugshot it isn't even funny anymore.
UK Version makes Heather look totally soulless and empty, which she isn't.
JP Version is just weird. It like trying to make her look like a badass and just failing in every aspect.

SH3 is one of my least favorite covers of all the games. (Minus Homecoming and the phone games)

I'm not especially in love with any of the three, but I think the PAL version hits the best feel. It doesn't really represent the aesthetic of the game like the japanese cover does, but that one is just far too much.

The UK cover suits the game best, in my opinion. The other two just don't look right. The UK one isn't as in your face as the other two. The UK one gives off the right look and atmosphere, it's genuinely creepy compared to the other two. The JP version looks like a cheap action game and the US one is just Heather's big face taking up the whole thing.
