A question about Heather's nature

Hi,

Apologies is this has already been asked before, but I'm just curious. I've heard that she split her soul in half and the good half was used to produce Heather. How true is this? and does this simply mean that Heather is just a newer copy of Alessa, with a happier childhood?

In the film Silent Hill Revelations, during the Carousel scene, Alessa states that its "..time to take back what I gave you..." Is she referring to the soul that was used to create Heather?

Thanks! :)

Please do not put plot spoilers in thread titles, thanks.

The film and games are completely separate. In the first film Sharon was the good half of Alessa, but in the game this is not the case. Cheryl was the half of her soul that she split off to prevent the birth of God, but the two halves are reunited at the beginning of the first game. As far as I'm aware Heather is simply a reincarnation of Alessa, hence having her memories and the unborn God still within her.

Indeed. In the movie continuity, she's simply Sharon (the good half of her soul) grown up with some memory loss.

In the games, Cheryl and Alessa remerged and then reincarnated as a baby. SH3 Heather has the entire soul.

Thank you all for your answers. If Alessa's soul split into two and then merged together again to create Heather, this means that Heather is simply a copy of Alessa?

No. She is Alessa.
