What's the point of this thread, really? Is there that little about SH#'s story to explain that you have to ask why there's ELECTRICITY? I'll tell you why, because even in the alternate reality the power company wants ther money!Son_of_Kauffman wrote:Why is there electricity in the dark foggy world, if it is another realm?

To go to personalities:
Kid's are more afraid of being in dark than older people; older people have more fear in a little bit of light, as they may see things that aren't normal
And as Otherworld is created by the mind (and some supernatural stuff ofcourse) it will prob reflect these fears more
At least thats my theory

Good god, people are still posting in this thread?
Actually, I have to retract my statement somewhat: while the idea of a pitch-black SH game is utterly ridiculous in my mind, a pitch black game as a concept is actually pretty neat.

That's actually a really good idea, Mephisto. The only issue with it comes up when But then, if the manifestations can cause physical pain, I suppose you could call it psychosomatic and have done with it. So yeah, they're defensive mechanisms. And since the people who go to SH usually have some underlying need to punish themselves, it makes sense that the defense mechanisms/bullets/weapons would be so hard to find.
Wow. Nice idea, man.
PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER_SHOW PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER:
you actually kill real people like Eddie in SH2 with those imaginary bullets.
Wow. Nice idea, man.

Silent Hill doesn't nec. want anyone to die. From what we know, individuals can actually learn something while experiencing the otherworld/-[side]. So, it can do, and create, whatever it wants to assist you.

Very true. And this reasoning is even more obvious in even Silent Hill 1 and 3. Alessa (Heather in 3) both want the protagonist to suceed. They have almost total say in therworld (without Heather realizing it), so the bullets presence is obvious.
In my restless dreams, I see that town....Silent Hill.
