Why Brookhaven?

Why Brookhaven?
I was just wondering why the hospital in SH3 is Brookhaven hospital. The story follows Alessa's past and she was kept in Alchemilla hospital. So, did I miss something?

Re: Why Brookhaven?
That would have been cool to go to Alchemilla hospital again (and Central Silent Hill) with redone graphics. You could have found references to all sorts of SH1 stuff - Kauffman, PTV, Lisa, etc. However there are a few reasons they stuck with BrookhavenLost wrote:I was just wondering why the hospital in SH3 is Brookhaven hospital. 1. Both hospitals exist in the series, however if they went with Alchemilla I'm pretty sure they would have to start from scratch in creating it, only having the old model as a guide. With Brookhaven it was a basic copy/paste with few additions/changes (since both games are on the same platform)
2. The rooms from SH1 which are important to Alessa (classroom and Alessa hospital room) are incorporated into the church/nowhere.
3. They are looking for Leonard, who is insane and would therefore be sent to Brookhaven which has that ward

I agree, it's been too long. I was kind of hoping SH5 might return to Central/Old Silent Hill with a complete make-over (both architecturally and graphically). But this is good tooArielis wrote:I would be really happy if we could just re explore the town's areas from the first game.

I personally can't wait for Origins. Mostly because of the Alchemilla Hospital thing. I would definitely love to see Midwich again, also.
Anyway, about Brookhaven in SH3, that's where Leonard was hiding, and if she would have went to Alchemilla it would have been too much story overload. Beating a dead horse, so to speak.
Although I will admit that SH3 needed a little more story, that's just my opinion though.
