Am I the only one who isn't reading shit into the whole holding hands thing? That's hardly proof positive of a romantic relationship. Only in the SH fandom would gestures such as this get such an overanalysis.

^Uh....wut?

Let's assume for a moment that the source of this information is credible. Why the FUCK would Heather and Vincent be holding hands if they weren't "an item?" They aren't 6 year olds headed to the sandbox together. :?

I honestly don't know how anybody could come to any other conclusion than this.

I image that it's going to go down something like this:

Heather: Vincent, I love you.

Vincent: Heather, I love you too, and I want us to be together... But this darn, crazy cult that I'm a part of won't allow it. They've got their hooks in me... deep. I'm stuck here forever. I... I don't know what to do

*Ghost of Rose appears*

Rose: Heeeeather.... Uuuuse the foooorce. And by "force", I mean "Karate".

*Heather karate chops her way through the legions of Pyramid Heads*

Heather: Now we can be together! Teehee

Fin.

^ You forgot the part where Heather refuses to go back to Zeist.

'Cuz, really, who'd go back to that shithole? Silly General Christabella...

Maybe the eponymous "revelation" is that Vincent realizes he's gay. He names Heather his fag hag, and they frolic off, hand in hand, into the foggy sunset toward the nearest gay bar.

I'm not down with this ending. So generic and cheesy. So yeah if that's the way it is going to be...NO THANKS!

Nobody in a movie, though.

It's like how you can't have a priest even looking at a child without making the whole audience think "pedophilia."

^What he said. Movies often have to use imagery to get past what might otherwise be hackneyed dialogue. Sure, a hug could be between a faghag and her gay, but when you see the two people hugging on a poster, the immediate assumption is "couple," not "faghag and gay." "Hear hoofbeats and say horse" is human nature.

Can hand-holding be friendly? Of course. Can it be in movies? Not unless the friendship is what gets them through their troubled times, that being the focus of the film. But this is a horror movie- "friendship conquers all" generally isn't the bit that kills the darkness.

It ain't just SH fans who "read way too much into hand holding." Go google "celebrities holding hands." Also? Don't act high and mighty just because you aren't reading into an image in the movie. Because let's face it, you wouldn't be on this site if you didn't read into the symbolism of the game just like the rest of us. And I've read your other posts- you do. :|

@VIVIsect: kung fu, not karate! Heather uses kung fu in the game/movie! YOU'VE NEVAR PLAYED TEH GAMES AND I CALL JOO OUT AS NOT A TROO SH FAN

I'm not sure why those of you who have decided that this movie is going to be a trainwreck already are still bothered, you can't change it so why are you going to watch it? Going over and over the same ground isn't going to do you any good...

I'm not sure why you seem to believe that so many people have decided that this movie is going to be a trainwreck already and can't seem to be bothered to read the posts that have stated so. I can think of only one person who's stated that they absolutely will not be seeing it.
Going over and over the same ground isn't going to do you any good...
And yet it's surprisingly cathartic. Maybe because we really want to believe that it won't be a trainwreck? Maybe some people come in to discuss the potential problems they see in the hopes that someone will talk them out of their pessimism? Great things, discussion and opinion sharing...

Kind of ruins the series' whole theme of isolation and individual struggle when you have a love interest that survives until the end, doesn't it?

Oh well, not like I care about the movies. :P

Douglas survived throughout the game in SH3. And didn't Elle do the same in Homecoming?

Douglas counts as a love interest? :? I thought he was a father figure.

I don't know, you can't believe what everyone on IMDb says. How do they know that that's not part of the middle or something? I just need more facts before I can believe this claim. However, if it is true, I'm still watching the movie. As long as most of the movie is good, the ending won't be a major blow. :\

When you said it was on IMDB, that made me take it with a grain of salt. While I'll admit I do frequent IMDB forums quite a bit, I can't tell you how many times I've seen people claim to have leaks and other info on that site. Usually it was false but every now and then someone is actually correct.
