Shooting for the film didn't finish -that- long ago. Post processing, advertising etc.. seems would put this out well past the first quarter.

If anything, it won't be the post-production that delays the release, but the three-month publicity and advertising regiment Bassett mentioned. From what I've been told, they're nearly finished formulating the music and sound effects, and the final cut was locked a few months ago. It shouldn't be *that* long, methinks. Me hopes...

^Blockbusters would flat-out annihilate SH:R, so the best call is probably spring, right? Maybe in just a couple of days we'll be getting that trailer...? :?

No point in competing with Big Budget summertime movies...

Take this as you will: a longtime user of IMDb's SH boards who's sometimes provided inside details on films before release is claiming a source inside Lionsgate said Revelation has an official release date of October 5th. He also says the official announcement on it is coming soon. Of course, this could be bullshit, but I thought I'd throw it out there for anyone who might be interested.

Haven't heard much news in a while... ideally I'd hope that it would come out in the Spring, but since there's not even a trailer yet, I'd imagine it'd probably be in Autumn.
Another heavenly day...

I'd prefer autumn. Have enough Silent Hill to deal in the next couple months.

I want to play the shit out of Downpour and hopefully the HD collection, get sick of them and forget about SH for a couple months. Then in perfect time for the melancholy gloominess of autumn a perfectly suited movie comes out for it.

Either way, no complaints if it comes out sooner or later~

Welp... better late than never, the old idiom says, right?

Still, I'd have preferred spring better... but at least it's coming out, I guess.

Bullshit or not, I'll take it. I agree. We're getting a lot of SH to last us awhile, what with three games coming out that we'll probably be playing over and over and working on trophies/achievements on. Also, Silent Hill fits the feeling of Fall to me, so it works out pretty well.

October 5th would be kind of nice, because then it can be like a birthday present to me- whether a great or rotten present has yet to be seen!
I'll have to decide whether to go see it in my Cybil costume. I might not, because that seems a tad like overkill. I don't know any other SH fans to dress up with me. It would also suck to sit leaning forward through the whole movie because of the parasite.

^Dude, you gotta. I was thinking about dressing somehow in the spirit (especially if there were a midnight premiere for it). :D

^Hell, even I'M going to dress up for this! I'm torn as to whether I should go as Henry Townshend, or Walter Sullivan--it's just SO HARD TO CHOOSE!

Although I don't think I have the hair to go as Walter...

Well, I was mainly hesitant because the last time I showed up early at the theatre here for a movie I thought was special, I was the only one and simply got made fun of by the employees- and I wasn't even in costume!
I may anyway, though. I can drive a little further and pay a little more money to go to a better theatre where there's more likely to be fans and a line.
