Aura - awesome exchange between you and Mr. Hulett. The more I read about this game now that it's out, the more excited I am for it. I'm still going to wait until it is ported...but I have a feeling that the wait will definitely be worth it.

Hey, man, if I can make even one skeptic give this game a try, I'm happy.

It's interesting that the characters are not weird people with dark secrets for once. It's different from the other games in that regards, and while the story may not be as deep, it could open the bridge for different stories in the next games.

That was a great exchange, Aura. I've always been interested in seeing where the story for this was going to go, and it sounds like it's gone in a place that I can definitely enjoy. Sadly, I'm in the "no Vita" boat. I plan on getting one eventually, but that's something that isn't really possible for me to do right now. Whenever I do, though, Book of Memories will be the first game I buy for it.
It somewhat kills me that this is the first Silent Hill game I couldn't buy right away. Well, technically I had to wait for the PS2 port of Shattered Memories to buy that, but I bought the Wii version with my friend and played it the first day it came out anyway, and then eventually bought a Wii myself. This, though, is awhile away for me. Sounds like I should try keeping myself in the dark here to avoid spoilers (since we don't seem to be getting a spoiler section for this), so I'll probably be scarce here until I get the game.

I'd love to see a video about BoM's character creation...

Okay, guys, I'm like officially in the third 'world' of this game now.
No spoilers, but here's basically how I'm praising the story.
If I won the lottery, I would buy everyone on SHH a Vita.

If I won the lottery, I would buy everyone on SHH a Vita. Is it really that good? I've been skimming through walkthroughs and all I can infer is some Order mythology and the main character doing whatever he likes to get stuff he wants : | Does it get more complex/deep?

It really does. Like, I'm not going to compare it to Shattered Memories or Silent Hill 2 or anything like that, but the notes and broadcasts in the game create a very interesting narrative. It seems there's ultimate endings related to your karma meter, such as deciding to use the book to improve the world, or growing more and more paranoid that people know your secret and go all Light Yagami. There's also apparently talk of neutral endings where the game's existence, or perhaps the player's own life, it retroactively deleted, but I haven't confirmed any of this. There are characters that seem to be consistent across the board that have relevance to the story and some psychological baggage, and I'm interested to see where some of it goes. Tomm Hulett did the absolute best he could with the genre medium he was given. I'm quite impressed.

I really hope there will be a ps3 port, because I don't think I'll ever buy a vita. But everything you said about the game makes me want to play it!

I don't think there will be any ports, at least not for a good while, due to the Vita needing some good games of it's own to sell itself. I'm not holding my breath for it.
