kinda screwed (at merry go round boss)
I am facing the boss and my problem is...I am out of ammo for machine gun, i have one shell for shotgun, and maybe 15-20 for handgun. What makes this situation much worse is that my health is in the orange and i have NOOO health products to help me out.
This happened to me for Silent Hill 1 when i faced the boss. Why must i get screwed each time I play these games?
Are there ANY possible ways to get around this? i refuse to start over just because i cant find health

hmm well you still have your melee weapons right? so use em but your gonna also have to block and dodge almost everything, its gonna be a pain but its possible. Haven't played 3 in a while but how did you get to the merry go round with no health and hardly any ammo? you don't have to kill every monster ya know(well unless you're trying to get the possessed ending)

It's been a whlie, but I remember messing up and wasting most of my health packs on the fight. Then when I was at the final part of the game I had nothing to heal myself with, so I went back and redid the fight, and here's what I did:
Before the fight started I was at full health, I used no firearms during the fight at all, since Alessa can just block them, I got in close and used melee weapons the whole fight...and no, I didnt use the Katana since it's too slow, I'm pretty sure I used the lead pipe. As long as you make good use of the block button and time your attacks just right you should make it through the fight. It does get a might tricky when she pulls out the fire arms, but then you just have to use the horses as protection when she's firing at you.
As for the problem of not having health...do you have a safe that's earlier in the carnival level with more health? Silent Hill 3 was the first SH I played where I avoided the majority of the non-boss monsters. If they werent directly in my path I just ran.

One more soul to the call, for all, in silence...
Comes two more souls to the call, for all, and in time!
Three more more souls to the call, they fall...
Unknowing that four more souls to the call, won't be all, and you know it!

Merry Go Round? I think you're fighting against the Memory of Alessa, eh? Well, just use the katana and everything will be fine, but since you don't have health drinks it can be a pain in the ass. Make sure to dodge and block all her attacks, and when she grabs one of the guns to use it on you just keep slicing her nonstop. Good luck man.
I had trouble with the katana, since it's so slow to use. I got her with the lead pipe.

That it may, but having extra power doesn't help if you're taking twice as much damage.

I'm sure with some more practice I could have mastered it. It just didn't work for my play style. I stuck with the lead pipe for most of the game.
In fact SH3 was the first game where I avoided most confrontations altogether.
