SH 1 weapons in Next fear mode

I did a search to see if this has been discussed already, but I wasn't able to find anything on it. I was just wondering if my weapons from my first playthrough of Silent Hill were supposed to cross over into Next fear mode. I read somewhere (can't remember were exactly) that they were, but mine didn't. I'm starting over from scratch. Is it supposed to be this way?

No, you still have to find everything when you play again, but you can find extras on subsequent playthroughs.

Thanks for replying, I figured no one would. It's unfortuante that I have to find them all again, oh well.
