In silent hill 4 why is the 1st victim u see called victim oldtype?

Because Team Silent didn't want to design twenty different ghost-monsters, so that's just the "generic-ghost."

it could also be because the dev. team wanted to have a nameless victim. Someone who no one could figure out. like in real murder investigations. you don't always find out who the dead is.
