"We're allways watching you"

Post by oddworth »

For anyone who is receiving hauntings, in henrys bedroom has your screen flashed red and then you hear a deep voice saying "we're allways watching you" over and over? If you have then WTF is all that about!?

Yeah that's Walter in the game. That haunting happens not too long after you encounter Joseph in the game. And for the record he doesn't say: "we're allways watching you", he says: "I'm always watching you"/"I am always watching you".
That shit was pretty freaky the first time I saw it Walter's face comes out of the painting of the church.

There are so many little things that happen like that, I kept going back to the room to see what else was going on even when I didnt have to. I still have yet to see the bunny balloon!

My hauntings sucked when I played through.... Gah. Stupid game. All I got was the haunted fridge and guy coming through the wall, and brown goo splinters. None of the cooler scary ones showed up. :|

The one that got me the first playthrough was the floating head outside of the window after WaterPrison world. I shit myself. 5 weeks later, I learn that it floats down and UP, I thought it just fell... ugh... creepy....

Back to the original post by oddworth- have you finished playing the game? If you're like me, you don't figure some things like that out until later in the game, or even until a subsequent playthrough. It's usually best to save questions until after beating it at least once, so you have more of a chance to come to that "omg!" realization yourself.
Of course, you probably have beat it and I'm just flapping my gums for no particular reason.

But... doesn't that make it worse when monsters come running at you? because you can't hear them?
I'm not dead yet, dammit.

I've never experienced that. Were you cleansing your apartment throughout the whole second half of the game? Maybe it's only when there are severe hauntings. I have NO idea. It almost makes me want to leave my apartment all haunted just to get that. That's almost like the floating head outside the living room window. Or maybe it's just random?

Sometimes the audio is what makes it scary, like the scream at the beginning of the game. I shot off the bed when I heard it. Let's also not forget Eileen's shakey scream as Walter attacks her. Another fall to the floor moment. Through the magic of wikipedia (thanks a lot guys...), I learned that the twin victims point at you AND whisper. It makes them seem even more creepier now.
