Henry's facial expression

Does his facial expression have to do anything with the fact that he was possessed (sp) in the first place or ever since he came to SH? It would make sense since he was always having nightmares, correct? I don't think in the middle of the story, Walter would've done that, as he would've wanted his plan to work quickly.

He just seems like he is always in a calm state, yet he's willing to help anyone. Don't get me wrong, he's a sweetheart, but with that facial expression of his, it's just damn freaky. His voice just doesn't make it any better.

His facial expression changes in response to various emotional and physical stimuli, like anyone else.

^ Hardly ever changes his expressions. He needs to stretch his facial structure even more. It still looks like he's drawn to something or simply staring into space. The question however...

He looks possessed from the beginning of the game. Or is it just personality?

I think he looks exhausted. And I think he actually does express things more than you believe him to.

I really don't get this possessed angle, I'm agreeing with Krist, he looks seriously tired.

Henry Townsend is a retarded lobotomized zombie that ate a handfull of xanax. Thats why the most he can say is What the Hell and walks like a robot.

^That is harsh... and not very fulfilling.

I agree that he looks a little plastic sometimes, but not every seen can be played w/ him looking like this:

Cause then everyone would be complaing about what a pansy he is. He looks tired, as one would most likely be after 5ish days, trapped in an apartment on no food or sleep. I am surprised he doesn't fall asleep. Narcaleptic Henry would be pretty entertaining. :P

Some people just always have the same blank expression on their face..
Usually if that person is pretty unhappy and Henry doesn't seem like a really joyful person. Poor guy. :(
So think about that. I know people that are almost always in a good mood, but it never shows in their face. They just look bored or mad all the time. I think Henry's just one of them. Nothing wrong with that. It's just harder for some people to show expression than others. I don't think it's so much of him being tired, but just he is one of those people.

So yeah, it has nothing to do with him being posessed. Lmao.

He's tired and unhappy. What else can we tell you?

This is one of those threads in which basically everything has gone wrong.

try getting stuck in your apartment with no one else and only after a few days later, the game starts to move.

I've never seen so many threads for one same character which all discuss the same matter - Henry's personality.

I'm so tired of the Henry-hate. Basically because the hate is so wrong, Henry is a fully fleshed out character with more reactions and behaviour than people might believe. Considering all these threads about his personality, I find it amusing that so many are interested in his personality when they claim he doesn't have one. . . .

^ What Jonipoon said.

Henry really isn't that bad, but I think a lot of the problem is that in SH4 we get one character (Walter) who is fleshed out almost completely (from birth to death) and then we get a handful of characters who have basically no given pasts, no real situations to show what kind of people they are, etc. So Henry's lack of background information, in the shadow of the massive mountain of information we have on Walter really makes him seem even flatter.

Honestly, I think Henry's just "one of those guys", you know? He does have a personality, a very solid and consistent one at that, its just not very in your face like Cynthia or Richard. he only thing I wish the creators could have done was flesh out his backstory a little more, even if it's just a blurb in the instruction manual. :|

Additionally, Henry's profile in the Another Crimson Tome features an empty, ripped out side, which suggests that Team Silent wanted Henry to be a very mysterious character from the very beginning. Indeed he is - I want to know his lifestory, who the fuck is Henry Townshend?!

Possible a photographer. Went to South Ashfield Heights and never moved one of his furnitures back them. Was friends with Sunderland and has a rotting corpse in his apartment, also spy's on his neighbour Eileen all the time. And watch everyone die without doing anything (at least he tryed to save Richard). Oh yeah, and a serial killer want half of his ass only to ressurect his momma.

Who is Henry Townshend? What is Henry Townshend? Why is Henry Townshend?

Thanks. You just explained what happens to Henry in the game for me. I really didn't know that, because I obviously haven't learned ANYTHING from my 20+ SH4 playthroughs. . . .
