SH4 ghosts

Ok, so I just got SH4 for easter and after doing a little research I heard the Ghosts are the Hardest enemies in the game. If this is true, how so? Im planning on playing on easy first btw.

Not really the hardest, they're the most common, though. You can avoid them-but eventually they will show up in your apartment. They also drain your health whenever you're around them.

They arent the hardest. they are persistent, and they cant die. you can knock em out, and run away.

You should always try a new game on hard mode first. That's what I do.

The ghosts seem to be more of a source of scares then difficulty. They can't be killed and can sometimes follow you anywhere.

Um, yeah hard mode. If you can make it through on that mode, then your awesome.
I couldnt make it past those sniffers on subway world 1. lol

Either could I, until my fourth try. Now I usually don't have that much of a problem with them.

The ghosts are pretty much indestructable on every level on play. You can beat them down but unless you have a Sword of Obedience then they eventually rise back up to annoy you again.
I would consider them the hardest because you can't even go near them without them draining your health then they can hold you in place while squeezing the life out of you.

But they are pretty easy to run from.

yeah, you just have to keep beating them down. but i have a question to all the other peeps. if you put the sword of obeisance in Cynthia, does she still follow you around? i beat the game once but never put a sword in her.

Except in cramped places as the Subway where Sharron Blake normally can get Henry in one corner. I found them the most annoying in Building World in the pet store where Sein Martin and Bobby Randolph show up and usually wont get out of the way and cause lag.

To me, SH4 was the scariest game, but not even close to my favorite. I liked the claustrophobic feel to it, and the ghosts (plus the Forest) added to that.

If you keep the sword in her you never see her again, though I'm confused to know what mode you were playing on because I didn't put the sword in her at one point and she followed me nonstop (I was attempting a quick run through) and kept killing Henry. She was wherever I went.

But remember a thing: Once you get a Sword (there's only 5 in the game, 4 of'em are like impossible to miss) use'em wisely. Don't impale normal ghosts like that oldwoman Sharon Blake. Just beat'em down. Why use the Swords wisely? You'll need'em in the future.

I've always gone for Cynthia, Jasper, Andrew, and Richard and then on the very last level

Jimmy Stone will bother you while you're looking for the last items before fighting the final battle so it's good to knock him down with the last Sword to make it easier.

I suggest you "knock down" Steve Garland (the one with the hillbilly outfit and small shovel) 'cause he is the only ghost that can travel between worlds (don't want to talk about it because of spoilers). But it's your choice.

do the ghosts bring your health down at all or are they just annoying because I was playing the first subway level today and those 2 ghost didnt really do anything to my health.
