Im sorta new to SH4 so... (spoilers?)

I just went through the game for the 1st time last weekend and I noticed everytime he says the name Walter Sullivan I kept thinking of Vincent from SH3 that helps you I dont now why though. I just keep thinking that Walter Sullivan is Vincent. Anyways what I really wanted to know is if Walter as a child knows his mother and father walked out on him as a kid and he knows this why does he think that room 304 if im not mistaken is his mother? and why did his parents walk out on him and what drove him to kill 21 people? This just keeps bothering me and I wont be able to think straight until I know. Also how was you main character tied into all this was he just caught in the middle by Walter or was he part of this all along?

I have more to ask but ill wait till i get some of thee answers first

It's room 302, not 304 I believe.
His parents walk out on him because they don't want the child.
Henry is a part of 21 sacrament. He's the 21st under the title of "reciever of wisdom"

Walter knew nothing about his real parents. He was brainwashed at the Wish House orphanage (the place where you meet Jasper Gein, and then his ghost, the 17121). He always believed that room 302 was his mother and he was taught that in order to ressurect "her" he had to commit the 21 Sacraments ritual, which involved killing 21 people (the 11th victim was his own self, but his ghost continued the killing). Walter has nothing to do with Vincent, who may not even know him. In the previous games, he was only mentioned briefly in a SH2 newspaper article.
