I had a look in the history of topics but couldn't really find a full solution to my question, so I'm wanting an answer to soothe my soul. haha
I've been playing SH4 again and was wondering about what happens to Rachael? Does she die in some morbid way or does she avoid everything and move out before the shit hits the fan?
Something that has been nagging me, because you know she was involved with Braintree torturing the pervert because you can hear her voice from the cassette tape you can listen to, but then I can't find out anything else on what happens to her.
Any answers would be a great help.

She's not important; nothing really happens to her.

Re: What happened to Rachael?
Depends on the ending; in the 21 Sacraments ending she probably dies. If I remember correctly, in that ending people start dying in and around the apartment building, so if she's still there at the time then the same thing might happen to her. In the other endings she probably continues on with her life as normal.
Aura's right though; she's not important to the story, so we wouldn't be told what might happen to her. I'm sure if she's mentioned elsewhere someone will say so, otherwise I think whatever you think is just as valid as any other suggestion. *shrugs*

Re: What happened to Rachael?
After Richard finished Mike off Rachael just lived her normal, boring life like everyone else. Nothing happens to her apart from the 21 Sacraments ending.
It's funny that Rachael had a boyfriend, the Painter you know, and he did nothing to stop the pervert Mike. If i'm not wrong the painter even gave some playboy magazines to Mike... Maybe he tried to get rid of Mike without violence and when that proved to be obsolete he let Richard do the job...

Re: What happened to Rachael?
Cheers guys!
Yeah, I know she's not relevent or anything, but normally they tie all the knots up with little things like that. I thought she was a character given a large amount of spotlight in the apartment building section; constantly seeing her mentioned in memos and what, so a conclusion to her would of been nice IMO at least. Guess I'm just over analysing.

Wasn't that mainly because she was a nod to SH2? Nurse Rachel being the one who took care of Mary and Laura and also the one who received the letters from Mary before Laura stole them?Dr-G0nz0 wrote:I thought she was a character given a large amount of spotlight in the apartment building section; constantly seeing her mentioned in memos and what, so a conclusion to her would of been nice IMO at least.
I think she was given spotlight because of this and because it's always been nurses who kinda got the "important secondary character cards" in many of the series entries...well, okay, just Lisa.
But Richard never "finished off" Mike. That was a huge misunderstanding that Walter kinda simply swallowed as a small child. The word they used in the Japanese version can mean "to skin someone" as well as "to strip somebody", so according to what is given in the game (especially because there is a later diary entry by Mike that says how Richard took his 'one good suit') it's likely that Braintree simply splashed him with blood and made him run down the corridor naked...for whatever obscure reason.Mephisto wrote:After Richard finished Mike off Rachael just lived her normal, boring life like everyone else.
The story is pretty messed up in itself and I still haven't figured all the connections out myself. But there is also the part about the bloody pants being perfect to wrap "it" (in Japanese "that young one") up with and we have the dead cat in the fridge along with the allergic guy in 101 who wants to see it dead.
Somebody really needs to make a map of all the connections in that freakin house...
Nope, the one who gave the porno-mags to Mike was Joseph Schreiber. Mike even comments on how he hasn't seen Joseph in a while and is unable to contact him, pretty saddened apparently that he won't get any new pornIt's funny that Rachael had a boyfriend, the Painter you know, and he did nothing to stop the pervert Mike. I'm not even sure the guy in 202 (the painter) was Rachels boyfriend either. He says that she is the one he loves and that Sunderland is wrong in suspecting that Mike is her boyfriend, but he never actually proves that he is her boyfriend either. Maybe they were both stalkers. Painting pictures of every person in the building by watching them through the windows doesn't exactly come across as sane.
Re: What happened to Rachael?
Heh, I know about that. That Richard didn't killed Mike. I misunderstood "knocked out" with "finished off" for some reason...
Richard just grabbed him by the shirt and dragged his sorry ass inside his apartment, threw a few punches and told him to run around naked throughout the building. Then the drunk took Mike's shirt
And yeah, it was Schreiber! Thanks for the heads up, dude.

Aye, I thought it was Joseph who gave the porn mags, but wasn't 100% sure. hahachounokoe wrote:Wasn't that mainly because she was a nod to SH2? As for you saying she got a lot of the limelight from being a key player in SH2 I find this even more of a reason to have a damn conclusion. haha As I was playing it she was constantly mentioned, you see her bloody nurse uniform, cassette, memo after memo mentioning her etc and then.... nothing.
Like I say, I know she wasn't any part of the main story, but they should have at least maybe told you what happened. The again, it's like the other guys say, she just wasn't relevent to the story so didn't feel the need to wrap it up. Frustratttiiinnnggg. haha
