Sorry about that, he just agreed with what I said so I made a assumption you were talking to one of us... XD :D

I want to know if Eileen can see the head too? I mean If she can I believe it would be worthy of a... weird cutscene.

It's okay, duckie. Tensions are running high. This whole forum needs to have a sexy drinking party, then we'd un-freakin'-wind and be happy, yes? Yes.

You know, that's a good question. I remember specifically bringing Eileen to that room because I thought she'd have some reaction--any reaction--to the GIANT FREAKIN' FACE but... not a peep. That disappointed me.

Ryan, that just provided me with the most horrible mental image ever. No doubt someone's written it for fanfic.

I too rescind all of my statements. Except the Eileen head cutscene, because they really should have made one. :D

and Raider you don't really want to know what that word is. :|

EDIT: never mind you will figure out by the picture above. XD lol

Tru dat, tru dat *z snap* Anyway, yeah that big Eileen head scared me to death. I couldn't think of anything to do but just...stare at it O_O I still believe it's tied more with Henry than Walter though, despite it being all in Walter's world. I mean, the hospital had its quirky rooms but it always gave me the sense that it was a little "off", compared to the other worlds. Now that I think about it, I don't think ghosts appeared in that level and I wouldn't imagine the Patients or Wheelchairs would count. So this whole hospital thing may have been an "intermission", I guess you could say? A period that kinda stops, allowing for Eileen and Henry's dreams to become synchronized?

It's so wrong, but I have a friend who refers to the "Z-Snap" as the "Ethnic Snap". I always ask him what "Ethnicity" he is referring to, and he changes it every time.

"Italian."
"Russian."
"Indonesian."

On topic... I can dig the idea that the hospital is something of an intermission. It is the only place that we visit once in the game. Although I don't think Henry was ever dreaming, to be honest. He was a "Witness" ("Receiver of Wisdom") more than a partaker in the ritual (at least up until his own demise at Headshot #21), so it would make more sense for him to be a "Dream Traveler" rather than a "Dreamer".

Though this could just be me rambling without enough coffee in my system. ._.

Let's try to keep this thread clean, yes? Yes. Three or so pages of things that really didn't need to be here (implicating myself here) have been removed.

It seems as though the three 'main' characters have an alternate version
Eileen= Giant Head Eileen
Henry= Mumbling Henry haunting
Walter= Corpse Walter (I dunno if that exactely counts since it's actually his corpse but it does in my mind)

Most people say Henry's a pervert because of looking through the peephole to Eileen's room, but here's the thing: Your not required to do that, it's the players choice.
So whose the pervert now :P?

The first time I took Eileen into that room, she said something like, "This place is like a nightmare!" I think that's just one of those random things she says from time to time, but at the time I thought she was responding to herself watching her big self.

I read somewhere that if you find Eileen before you go into the room with her head, it's gone when you get there. Haven't seen it myself, so don't know if it's true.

^ I've done that before. It'll still be there, and she still says nothing about the head. The rooms will shift positions in various playthroughs, so whoever wrote that probably walked into the same door but was put in a different room, so they might have thought that the head disappears. It's still there though.

VERY RIGHT! I had just read the FAQ of SH4, they said about the dissapearance of the head thing when following Eileen, if we want to see it, we must not use the key for the Eileen's room or if we used it, we must not enter, to see that head thing, but it's truely wrong, we can see the head thing even with her, beside everytime you play or load the game before reaching the hospital, all the doors from the hospital in the second floor will change, it will not stay in the exact position, so every room has a strange looking, but you don't know what you'll see first, second... and last whenever you repley the game or load the game, I just saw the head before Eileen, I tried to let Eileen follow me to let the head dissapear, I go to that room and the head is still there, I really become more happy to see what Eileen's reaction but nothing come :(

I think maybe before the SH4 incidents, Henry used too peep on Eileen, so he's developed a complex!!

When I first saw the giant head I actually laughed, then I stood there for ages wondering if something else was going to happen. It was a very surreal moment and I wasn't really sure what to think. I'm not sure if my initial laugh was to relieve some of the un-easiness of it all :P

In regards to why it's there, I'm inclided to believe it's more to do with Walter's feelings for her. To me the peephole thing doesn't really make sense because Henry only looks through the peephole briefly (obviously depending on what the player does :P) and doesn't do anything sexual (unless you did, you sicko, lol)

On a side note, someone posted this video in another thread and since it's related I thought you guys might like to see the best reaction to the head EVER, oh yeah and you can very clearly hear the sexual noises in this video too. Enjoy. (I just realised how saying you can clearly hear sexual noises and then telling you to enjoy could quite easily be misinterpreted :P)

Yes, because the Silent Hill series has -never- had a sexual aspect to it. Ever.

It is not just pulling a sexual reference out of your ass in this case. I mean, trying to relate the Insane Cancer to Heather's sexual frustration probably is, but I think it makes a lot of sense in this specific case. Considering Eileen's alternate costume (hell, even her skimpy default costume), I have no doubt that they were trying to make her attractive.

Then you have the moaning sounds in the big head room... and yes, they are moaning sounds because if a chick made sounds like that while you were beating her, I would consider her a masochist.

I think Martee has it dead-on, and I've said it in the past, it would be inconsistent and just bad writing if we go through all of Walter's stuff (monsters from his mind, worlds from his mind, hauntings from his actions, etc.) and then bam, we get one single thing from Henry's mind (a sexualized Eileen / "reverse peephole"). I'm sorry, but I don't buy it. I am certain that it is Walter's conflicted emotions for her (we get the appearance of her beaten, but we -hear- the sounds of her moaning-- on the outside he wants to hurt her, but on the inside... well, I'll let you decide.)

Neither seems sexual at all. Yes she does breath in a rather strange manner but in my opinion it sounds more like a deep sleep rather than moaning. Remember, the face is rather disfigured and messed with, (Just as peephole Henry) it seems that no matter what Walter cannot perceive anything anymore without viewing it in a dysfunctional manner like the entire world he sees he cannot view people in a normal way.

Listen to this and tell me it isn't sexual. Especially when you turn it up and hear the second voice track in the background. Not picking on you, Carneeval, but your post just reminded me of the actual audio file which I don't think many people have actually listened to. Most probably only hear it when they visit the room in-game.

Seriously, though, if that is just deep sleep or something, she must be having a damn good dream.

Yeah well, I know I haven't participated in this discussion as of yet, but I can say I listened to that, and if it isn't sexual, then I must not know what the word 'sexual' means.

The argument probably comes from, like you said, not everyone having heard that specific track so clearly. I know I hadn't before now.

My question is why is this sexual. I think it has no meaning at all seeing as Walter is really just a child that wants his mother.
