...What's this? FIVE Sword Of Obedience's?

Post by Eileen Daja »

Okay, so I was playing through SH again the other day. And in Apartment World, first time 'round, we all know that there's a Sword Of Obedience in the ghost on the room in that tiny room with the birthday cake, right?

Okay, so I was in the elevator shaft... top level. And I accidentally went out the wrong door. I found myself in this... stony hall type of place. I round around and around in what seemed like circles, avoiding two ghosts, til I came to a dead end... Where I found on the floor, a Swrd Of Obedience. I hadn't spotted this first time playing the game... Who else found this? Was it obvious and I was just skipping through the game too fast, first time 'round?

I'm going to assume you played all the way through the game. I'm also going to assume you found other swords through out the game. And I think you're asking about that one particular sword in that area because you think you might have come across it by accident?

Yes, I did find it. I tend to be slightly OCD when I play vid. games. I look at everything and check everything. I jiggle every door handle and look in every corner whether it's obvious or not.

Yes, you find the Spade there. It's a nice to have an extra Sword in case you miss any of the others.
I'm not dead yet, dammit.

Is there really only 5 swords? I don't know why I thought there were more than that.

No.

They're supposed to keep the ghosts pinned down in an area where you need to look around or be for awhile. There are a two ghost towards the end where you really should stick em' and leave em'.

In your second time at the apartment world you finda sword there... Is obvious that you can get 5 swords cause the Joseph's note said it...
PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER_SHOW PRIME_BBCODE_SPOILER:
RED DIARY - JULY 23

I've found something that's extremely effective against the ghosts.
It saved my life.
It was stuck into the huge rock in the woods near the orphanage.
It's a sword blade with a hand-made, triangle-shaped wooden handle that has some
kind of spell written on it.
As a weapon, it's heavy and hard to carry. But somehow it seems to change in
response to the ghost-victim's power.
Strike when the sword is energized!
If you don't reduce their power, your attack will be repelled.
As far as I know, there are only 5 swords in existence with that kind of power.
It's extremely valuable.

I missed that particular corridor on my first play-through and missed out on that particular sword. But I've only ever bothered pinning all of the spirits once on subsequent play-throughs anyway 'cos it's ultimately pointless.

@_@ I dunno. I used one sword, but I got four. LOL I didn't know where the one in the apartment world was. 'Cause I was scared and running outta there so fast. I was all "OH HELL NO, HENRY! GET YOUR BITCH ASS OUTTA HAR!"

So like, eh. I got the last ones, anyway. And I used one sword in the prison when you fight the fat ghost for the key. I pinned his ass down and got outta there like a fat kid in dodgeball. Screw getting it back. Hurry up and run. RUN I SAY!
I'm not a fighter, nor a lover. But I am, however, a fucker. -cheesy grin-

IMO, the Spade down in the alley was worth 4 Sword of Obediences. Really darn handy weapon.

Since I couldent pin down Richard Braintree on my first playthrough, he gave me hell. Although come to think of it, none of the victims are actually very dangerous in the first place.

^ You ressurrected a 4 year old thread just to ask this question?

Yeah, Richard appears a lot (in the Building World) if you don't pin/impale him. After that you can only find him again later in the game.

He's not so tough if you want my opinion about him. . .

The first time I played through I didn't pin Richard down in the building world and truly regretted it... I wound up using all my health items there. I think I missed all the swords but one and used it on Cynthia. But now when I play, I use 3 of them.
