Not much; everything's been discussed on him, but I guess we can go through the motions again.

Me, I only know he was an executioner and there to punish James for his sins. Yeah. It sorta makes me bored saying it, mainly because it's been said over and over again.

Can't say I ever loved him enough to sleep with him (and plenty of people seem to want to do so :p) but I still maintain that he's one of the most fearful and original monsters in survival horror to date. PH OWNNZZZZzzzzZZ u GuyZ!!!1111!!!

If I recall correctly, it's supposed to represent decay.

If this doesn't answer your question completely, try to find a SH plot guide.

Oh, yeah... so not to get into trouble... *grins*

I really like PH, he was an awesome villian/monster.
I always thought he was an agent to the "Order" goddess, like an archangel or something of the sort.

PH is the Sephiroth of the Silent Hill series. Fanboys like to salivate over him, but he really didn't do much of anything and is vastly overrated.

I guess all you need to do in a video to earn the worship of thousands is to impale a main female character with a big weapon.

....I can dig it.

He's just a manifestation of Xuchilbara/aka Valtiel through James' mind.

See, that's what I mean when I say they are one in the same (Valtiel, Pyramid Head), some people don't know what I mean by it.

Well, since we're all tired of being schooled in PH theory, why not talk about him in gameplay terms?

The twin PH battle at the end of the game was real tricky. In fact, it was trickier than a survival horror boss should have been. When I did it it was on hard, by the way, so those guys were hustling. Anyways, in order to get a shot off I had to run a figure-eight from corner to corner making both of them lunge at me, and this would give me a chance to either fire or reload. Those few seconds of vulnerability when the status screen opened and closed but the screen was still dark were too costly to reload in the menu. Anyways, with this technique I was able to beat them sustaining relatively little damage. But it just seems that there should be an easier way then swerving around both of them just within lunging range and shooting them from the corner. How'd you guys take him?

Pretty much ran to each corner and shot at them.

The first encounter with him is much trickier for me because I have a "thing" about space and enemies. I try to keep a nice distance. This was too close for my comfort, even though he's not real. I just don't fancy having that motherfucker so close to James.

It also totally blows having him just show up when you're in the Labyrinth. That place scares me enough without having to worry that he's wandering around ready to impale my face.
I'm not dead yet, dammit.
