Acting.

Heather finds out why it's true that you shouldn't talk to strangers. Or look in mirrors, quite honestly.

Acting.

Does anybody else think Douglas and Vincent spoke too slowly? I thought Heather and Claudia were decent, but those two always bothered me when they talked.

Douglas is an investigator, and Vincent a priest-- both occupations that require daily interaction with various types of individuals, as well as a level of patience and lucidity while speaking. I think it's appropriate.

well vincent IS all about leisure. Maybe Douglas speaks like that because he's bewildered.

Douglas is also kind of old with a history of smoking. Hard on the old lungs.

I was very impressed with Douglas, but mostly Heather. I thought Claudia was a little too much with the cheesy accent, and Vincent was just.. odd.

About Douglas, I did notice how he was making unnatural pauses between he's words... But overall I liked the acting crew. :)

Vincent talks looking at the reaction of his own words, and he enjoys that:
V:Monsters? Do they look like monsters to you?
H: :!: Oh no!
V:Don´t worry.It´s just a joke.

Think of Italy — which reminds me of California in so many ways — and its chronic inability to form a government. That’s California, with even better food and no parliamentary system.

I think the acting in SH3 is kinda cheesy, but in a way it goes with the game.

Vincent is my favourite "actor"/character in Silent Hill 3, and I can't say he spoke any slower than the other characters. And in any way, it suits him very well.

Personally, I thought the acting varied among the characters. Some parts, Heather just made me groan (not in the good way). Other times, Claudia's overacting ("they have come to witness the beginning..." Blech!) drove me nuts. Douglas was a drunken old dick; his acting worked out for me, ultimately. Vincent... well, Vincent I accepted with a smile because he's pretty like that. Overall, though, I'd have to say I enjoyed the acting. Not bad, but not academy winning, y'know?

Vincent's smile did my head in. He sorta smiles with his tongue.

Actually, my favourite part of the acting in SH3 is how Heather holds the phone.

Just watch her hand at the start. She holds it like a proper gimp.
Elbow out, massive grip.

I thought it was a bit dramatic at some parts, but they seemed like real people. A teen with a bit of an attitude, an old detective who's obviously had a hard life, a strange lesiurly man from the Cult, and an eccentric chick who, when growing up, had to deal with her best friend nearly being burnt to death, also belonging to the Cult.
