I don't think it matters in the story. You hear bits of Walter's father's voice in the Outside Room 302 stage, but his identity is never revealed. With is OK, because The Room is all Walter really cares about anyway.

And no, it doesn't say paba. It says Papa. So before everyone gets in on that Xuchilpaba crap... shut up. Why else would Henry say "Walter's... father?" He has no exclusive knowledge into Walter's mind.

I also think it's interesting that both of the cult's plans to bring about God drew in drawing blocks.. first Alessa, now Walter.

That one. If you'll remember, in the apartments, you can hear Lil' Wally calling out "Dad!, Dad!, I can't see your face!", implying that he did care about him, he just didn't know him.

I remember someone saying that since Walter had no father he may have looked up to someone in silent hill's cult as a father figure. Seeing how the drawing of Walter's "father" is a stick figure Pyramid head, his role model might have been one of the executioners.
