Silent Hill DvD Features

Just got my new Computer Gaming magazine and it lists the special features. They are :

* Paths of Darkness = Making "Silent Hill" Behind the scenes featurettes.

* Part One : Origins of Silent Hill

* Part Two : Casting the Film

* Part Three : Building Silent Hill

* Part Four : Stars and Stunts

* Part Five : Curetures Unleashed

* Part Six : Creature Choreography

Will be available for the PsP and Blu-Ray on Aug 22nd.

Wish I had a blu ray for this one. Drool.

i was hoping they would put several endings in the special features. maybe they will.

There was only one ending filmed...Gans has said this himself.

Did the magazine say "and many more" or was that it?

Also, shouldn't this be in the Silent Hill Media forum?

Except all signs seem to indicate that there is no commentary track of any kind, which is like... One of the most standard DVD extras...

Someone posted all the videos from the dvd features in YouTube, so if you're interested, you can just look it up. At least I wouldn't have to waste my money buying the dvd

I was thinking like most dvd's... this might be another one to fall into the let everyone buy it and then maybe a year or two later release a special edition. I hate that to be honest.

I've read somewhere ( Embarassed ) that after final montage producers have cut out about 90 minutes of the movie (it was about 3 hours and 30 mins. in first version! Smile ) I don't think it is just a rumour, because on trailers there's few scenes that doesn't appear in the movie. So do you think there may be sth like special edition (director's cut?) released in nearest time (within few months?)?

I believe that there will be a special edition that will show up in a few months but that the extra footage will end up as bonus deleted scenes but not added to the movie since when was released is what Gans wanted. I figure the scenes were deleted for a reaon and that he'll not want to add them back to the movie.

Actually, all a DVD needs to have to be considered "Special Features" is the scene selection, trailer, and *maybe* a theatrical poster on the disc. Its up to the company to decide if they want a commentary track, you'll be surprised by how many DVDs out there really have no commentary. So everything included on the disc sounds pretty neat, hopefully they aren't gonna reuse what was shown on Encore (I think it was Encore) for the BTS parts.

on the dvd featurette they show them filming a scene with the Lying figure attacking Anna at the hotel, so.... there definately is a lot more to this movie.

I ve got the DVD it features tha movie wich is quite good picture widescreen with some glithches here and there then making Silent Hill behind the scenes and this is the ona that was played on TVs a week or two before the movie premiere and 12 preview trailers Like Ghost Rider, The Benchmark and that would be that
O yeah and nice introduction menu caught from the movie ending

Oh my, really? Is it long? Can't wait to see that then, it's not released over here for another 2 weeks though.
