C'mon now...
There are those figures even in the underground parts of some amusement park games like the spinning cups, even on the grass of the park.
They are all the same who appeared in SH1 and according to silent team, they represent the religion of SH, they are wrapped on ceremonial robes, as well as Valtiel is.
But the mouth smiling... it intrigued me so much (yes, it's smiling).

I agree that it's smiling definitely. Though I don't think it is Lisa, I mean it would fit in with the story and all, with but no. For all we know, Team Silent could have just used one of their first models of Lisa that they made for SH1. Could be why it looks like her, but I doubt it.

It'd be kinda nice if it were- just a brief feeling of familiarity, but meh. I don't think they're Lisa's. I think it's just them being creepy. Wouldn't you be a little perturbed if you came across a disembodied pair of lips? Or a random nose on the floor? They've got creatures without features, so how about features without creatures?

Oh, very false, indeed. You may be mistaking those strange string things and the skin that seems to be pulled back for a mouth from certain angles, but I assure you, it isn't.>Valtiel have mouth in back of his head
False.
You'll be missed. You were missed. I am missing you.

An art teacher of mine once said "the eye is the only part of the body which can recognize itself. To recognize the self is to be comforted." We then argued about hands being able to recognize themselves, but ultimately agreed that hands could be fooled by skin wrapped around sticks, provided they were warmed. But there's no Eye figure. What do you make of that?
So, in the spirit of keeping the player uncomfortable as they played, they kept the hostile and strange features (mouths can bite you=hostile, ears can hear things you don't want to be heard by others and are really strange looking, and stretched figures could engulf and attack you). It's just like what they've done with the monsters- you recognize the figures as vaguely human, but distorted, so it disturbs you.
You'll be missed. You were missed. I am missing you.
I suppose your right, maybe they just used her modelJuriDawn wrote:So, after her "transformation", Lisa got braces (I assume they were put there by Valtiel, who works as a dentist while not actively encouraging the birth of God), which pleased her so tremendously that she smiles wide, forgetting all the torment and hell she's been through. Makes perfect sense.

First of all.. Some of you may wonder why I'm going through these old, old posts..
I got SH3 maybe a year after I got SH4: The Room and as of lately I've been getting into it.
Second of all.. These posts include unmarked spoilers, not that it's gonna bother anyone.
I think this one's got more to it than just one meaning.
First reference: The 'wicker man' is clearly 'trapped' inside the carousel,
just like Alessa was; burning & isolated into her own body and suffering.
Second reference: In the Alternate Midwich Elementary, you can see a
burning sacrifice in the middle of the hall where you meet the boss.
NOTE: It was said in the Book of Lost Memories (Alt. Brookhaven),
that only the 'pure' people were allowed to be sacrificed this way.
I think I did have a third reference, but I forgot it.

A burning sacrifice, a wicker man.Anonymous wrote:During the Memory of Alessa fight, pay close attention to the carousal, or rather what's inside. You can see fire, and you can see the fire burning what appears to be a person. It's in the same position as the follower of Valtiel bodies, except this one is not wearing a robe, and you can see the muscle exposed.

Re:
As Krist said, some of the best shots are right when Hilltop changes to the Otherworld. The braces image is hard to see because it is behind foggy glass in the hospital. There are several of the mouth images in otherworld hilltop center though.asphyxia_82 wrote:where in the game is this shown? I have to play it again but if its in the cutscenes... youtube?
