silent hill 1 compatibility

I was hoping someone could help me I have a Playstation 2 and Silet Hill 1 only comes for Playstation does anyone know if I can play a Playstation game on mypS@?

Yes any game for PS can be played for PS2. Same goes for the long awaited PS3 which will take PS & PS2 games-------thank god

You can play Ps1 games on the Ps2 system. Also, if you want to save your progress, you'll need a Ps1 memory card.

SH1 works fine on PlayStation2, just don't tweak the texture mapping and disc speed options in the PS2 bios, unless you want all the cutscene speech to sound like the chipmunks.

You can also play your SH1 disk in your computer. Legally. It's quicker to load and is much smoother to play.

That's what I do

Also I play it at 1280x960, not the 320x240 PSX resolution

Some models are affected and look great, some other not

I'm talking about emulations yes. They are legal if you own the game you play. And they have an itergrated memory card Pychos-with-guns Fairy.
