When Heather... (possible spoilers)
When Heather kills the god at the end of th game, presuming you go by the first ending, is it all over? The god trying to manifest itself was the source of all the shit going on in Silent Hill wasn't it?

Silent Hill 2 provides evidence that the town itself is now tainted, so it's kind of expanded beyond the matters of God trying to be born. (What evidence is that? The fact that Silent Hill 2 exists.. The story has nothing to do with God or ressurrecting Her and the town still shifts to the Otherside.) I think it's safe to say that all of it is not over, since those other worlds still exist.
We won't know for sure until Silent Hill 5 is released.

If you look into the lore of SH you woill find that the town has
pretty much been on the fritz since man settled there. I think
that it is just tainted ground. I would of course love to
know more about the history of SH beyond what is already given.
I have always seen SH as kind of a gateway, a portal and
a place that strong emotion can be made manifest.
There were plenty of things that happened way before Allessa.
She just magnified things a little.

I dont think that SH2's otherworld has anything to do with Alessa. She is not the only thing that causes mystic things in the town and I dont believe she caused any of them in Silent hill 2. Have you read the SH lore? It tells about indian sacred ground and shit like that if im not mistaken.Krist. wrote:Silent Hill 2 provides evidence that the town itself is now tainted, so it's kind of expanded beyond the matters of God trying to be born. Also, the otherworld in SH2 is different, its defenitely not created or manifested by Alessa.

I think you misunderstood me.. I never suggested that at all. And I don't know how you think I did.Dane wrote:I dont think that SH2's otherworld has anything to do with Alessa. The towns been tainted for a long time. Long before Allessa or the cult even came to SH.Mr.Death wrote: Hmmmm.Allessa,no?Yeah,I guess the town was already tainted.I usually had,and have,my own interpretations of the game.
Here is a nice link to SH timeline. Again, keep in mind what you see there it's not 100% fact, but close enough to give you an idea that the town as been the way it is for a long time:

I was hoping that when Heather turned to face the camera during the ending, she was going too find a baby lying on the ground......
.........Then I was hoping she was going to walk over to it and stomp it to death.

Value your failures more than your successes. Successes only last until someone screws them up. Failures are forever. She left...and...I'm lost.
Do you think Heather would kill a baby?

I have played it through more times than any of the others. If you're talking about when she defeats the god and then turns around, then I know what you mean. But, they cut the crying out of this version. So, there's no evidence that she actually killed it.

Well, she knew that was the god, not an actual baby.

The thing that Heather killed was just one God that the cult was trying to bring about. The Yellow and Red Gods (Xuchilpaba and Lobsel Vith) don't have anything to do with Alessa and co.
I doubt if any normal person could kill a baby, evil or not, so she would probly just walk off and leave it for Valtiel to do whatever.
