hotel map - hidden music

Post by EileenGalvin »

I didn't find anything about this on here, so I thought I'd open a new topic:

After receiving the hotel map, when you leave the hotel, wait until the hotel music is faded out, go back in the hotel and open the map real quick before the hotel music starts again to hear a weird little melody playing while you look at the map.
Took a video of it and put it up on youtube:

I guess this is some kind of easter egg.

It is at least not on the OST CD.

The Suicidal Clock Chime you are referring to is a song from Silent Hill 4 though :)

I wasn't aware they had Jeopardy in Silent Hill.

Nice little easter egg! I've never noticed that, and I don't recall it being on the OST either.

Interesting, makes you wonder how many other ones there are like this throughout all the games.

That's definatly not The Suicidal Clock Chime. I think I heard the same music on the music box, before you use the music boxes you find.

Yeah, that kinda sounds like it, gotta check it out though.

But even if, I wonder why it's playing when you look at the map o.O

A lot of games have odd bugs in them. It goes all the way back to Pac-Man (yes, I really am old enough to remember Pac-Man, and Space Invaders and Asteroids too), when you could occasionally go right through the ghosts.

In 1972 a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team.

Hm. Sounds like it could have been a glitch. It might have just been me, but I'm pretty sure the weird music might have matched up with the hotel's.

It's just the music that plays when only one music box is installed. Notta big deal.

I just watched the video. I think that's really cool, I'm going to have to try that next time I run through Silent Hill 2. I know it's just audio from the game, but I really wonder what makes it play that music then? Neat find!

Its definatelly definatelly from the music box. when theres no disney things in it, thats the melody it makes. I dont see how it would just start playing though, you have to go up to the music box and click "play" so thats interesting
