Yup, that;s it. When you go out the back door and read the newspaper, you hear a bunch of gunfire and noises back in the pet shop. Re-enter and that's what you get.

I wonder if the Ghost cat was related to the dead kitty in the fridge?

Nope. It's the cat that Walter injured as a little kid when he visited the shop once.

I thought that automatically happened everytime you played the game. Did to me everytime I played it. :?

I must've been doing the right thing.

What??? a cat in the petshop, the game has many errie things like that dancing baby. Well playing the game at till 3 am in the morning makes me see this greyish black cat passes through real fast after looking at the peephole through Eileen room but its all in my head. Does anyone have screenshots/text of the paper outside the door, or the cat?
I JUST managed to beat the game, and I don't think I would be able to devote myself to beating it again for some time..

"According to Ashfield Police on. . . .
at approximately 8:30 in the evening, witnesses near
the pet store, Garland's, reported the sound of multiple
gunshots possibly from an automatic weapon.

By the time the police arrived, the perpetrator
had already fled and the shop owner, Steve Garland,
was found dead with a probable submachine gunshot
wound to the head.

All of the store's animals were brutally slaughtered
and the store left in extreme disarray. In addition,
inside sources say that Garland's heart had been
removed, and on his back 5 numbers were carved.

Yep. Why would the cat killed in the apartments be seen in the building complex?

I saw it - but it seriously runs by SO FAST that I blinked and managed to see the end of it darting up the steps.

Srsly, it runs by so quickly I don't know if anyone can manage to get a shot of it :(.
I'm not dead yet, dammit.

Well, even if we couldn't get a screenshot of it, maybe someone has a way to record things on the screen and a lot of time on their hands could record it and place it on youtube or google video or something? It'd be hard, and take a LOT of time, but it would be worth it... Right? I'd do it if I had the equipment and the game... and enough time to...

Okay, what floor, what set of stairs, what room? I'll try and get some video of this, I play on PC and use Fraps, so I can probably get both the Pet Shop Massacre and the ghost cat if I can get some detailed instructions.

And yeah, I never thought about that, but I think it makes sense that the submachine gun Eileen gets is the same one Walter used...

Yeah. I would suggest just making a video of the whole Building complex since it's so fast and moves to quickly. Isn't he supposed to be injured?
