Favorite Sacrament?

Post by ValTanner »

From SH4, that is. ^^ I did a top five on this a while back

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGeheArV ... annel_page (click if you wanna watch)

And, after going through all the Translated Memories and actually learning the ins and outs of each of Walter's victims, it was interesting how little the game actually shared about them. But, after posting the video, I got a ton of interesting comments on who everyone's favorite Sacraments were. So, for shits and giggles, which is your favorite?

The video doesn't show my favorite. I ranked them by their importance, trying to be unbiased. My personal favorite are Victims #7 and #8 because I adored the Twin Victims monster in the game!

Moved to the appropriate forum. :)

I like Joseph Schrieber best, both in function and character. He's very helpful and never once tries to kill me, so good on him.

I rather enjoy the character of Jasper Gein. Not only for his namesake, being my favourite of American killers (if such a category warrants having a "favourite"), but also for his personality. To me, he epitomises the morbidly curious thrillseeker who's always one step behind acceptance, whose delusions of admission into The Order's goings-on ultimately leads to his untimely (and fun-to-watch) demise.

I like Victim #13: Sharon Blake. The idea of this housewife going into the woods near Silent Hill, only to be attacked and drowned by the ascended Walter Sullivan spooks me out. I can see Walter stalking and terrorizing her before killing her. It's very horror movie-ish.

I've always stated that Joseph Schreiber is one of the most fascinating characters in the SH universe, and also a good example of what a great SH character should be like. Not only is he the typical average joe, but intelligent with attitude at the same time ("the nosy guy"). His journey and experience of the town seemed very deep and interesting to me as well, and I've played with the idea to make a pre-story-version of SH4 where you play as Joseph. That'd really be something!

And of course, as Juri said, unlike the other ghosts he is helpful and doesn't try to kill me all the time.

I like Walter's Sacrament....after all, who else would stab themselves in the neck with a spoon?

I did like Cynthia a lot.. but that was probably just me

Besides her, I liked #6, George Rosten... I thought it was sweetly twisted irony that what he tried to propel forward ended up killing him.

I've heard that idea tossed around alot, and I agree. It would be very cool to see what he saw...

Richard Braintree. I felt too sorry for a lot of the ghosts to fight them properly, but he was set up as a character that was easy to dislike from the beginning. Within an hour of first meeting him he

My favorite is 11121: Assumption. Which is, of course, Walter.

The rituals and backstories from games fascinate me, and the Ritual of the Holy Assumption is one of my favorites (the other is the Crimson Ritual from Fatal Frame II, but that's irrelevent). It also irritates me a lot, because it's quite hard to find information on and the whole storage room set-up doesn't help much either.

And he kills himself with a spoon to the neck. I mean, come on. That's the most epic method of suicide ever.

I L-L-Liked Jasp-Jasper G-G-G-ein .....

Seriously though he is pretty much my main favorite Silent Hill character (Aside from Walter or Heather). He was also the coolest of all Ghost Victims.

Second fav would have to be Richard, just because he has such a comedic past.

I liked Andrew DeSalvo's sacrament...

Just everything about the character felt so wrong. The creepiness of a man watching children waste away and die, the ickness of drowning in that sludgy crap that was in the kitchen... Plus, he's one of the few speaking ghosts. And he one-ups them all by being the only *singing* ghost.
Hurm...

Jimmy Stone, b/c he was the last priest of The Order.
#7 and 8 also rocked, and I think you can probably assume why.

EDIT: Holy shit, Andrew's ghost sings??

Jimmy was the LAST priest of The Order? Seriously?

As for Andrew, yes/no. andrew's Ghost doesn't sing, but he does say some of the Order's teachings and scriptures in a somewhat loony voice, making him the scariest ghost in my opinion.

Probably in the Valtiel sect but not the entire order.

Richard Braintree, seems he was trying his best to warn you about that kid, his death had to be the most painful wait wasnt Jasper like Set on fire. Id still go with Richard, because his death was just rather more interesting to me.

I felt more sorry for Billy and Miriam Locane.

11/21 The suicide... Killing himself just to create Mother
Utsushimi

Post by Utsushimi »

Theses are the ones that i liked

Ten Hearts:
07121-Billy Locaine
08121-Miriam Locaine
(Probably because i felt sad for them being the only children killed...Walter should have waited them to turn 14 LOL!)

Temptation Sacrament
16121-Cynthia Velasquez
(The scene was so sad w/ the addition of the song Room of Angels)

Watchfulness Sacrament
18121-Andew DeSalvo
(The scene was NOT so sad! The pig deserved it! )

Mother Sacrament
20121-Eileen Galvin
(Well she's kind,sweet!)

*By the way... to those who did not know... this was the song that was sang by Andrew DeSalvo's Ghost

From the 21 Sacrament Scriptures:

*At the time of fullness, cleanse the
world with my rage.
Gather forth the White Oil, the Black
Cup and the Blood of the Ten Sinners.
Prepare for the Ritual of the Holy
Assumption.

Offer the Blood of the Ten Sinners and
the White Oil.*
