According to their source, SH2 will begin filming in Canada sometime soon. God, I hope their source is right!

Hmm... they said that Neil Gaiman was involved in the first film?

Not a very reliable source. :?

I want to believe this! I really do, but I don't. And I won't untill Konami or Sony release info on it.

Everyone keeps chit-chatting about a sequel. But I'm not holding my breath. Not until I see some pictures and/or a preview.

I'd love to see sequels move in the same direction as the games, but changing enough that it isn't just like sitting through a very, very short version of the game. So a second movie could feature a wife looking for her dead husband...
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend to be one of those deaf-mutes.

I really, really pray this news is true. I've been wishing and wishing for a Silent Hill 2 movie for, like, ever. I would love to see another movie, and truth be told, it's my dream to see Silent Hill in a big theatre with all my SH-loving friends :D

I heard it come from the editor in chief of fangoria magazine last friday on Sirius. They do a segment about up and coming films and he mentioned SH2 on the list. Afterwards Dee Snider (the host) said how much he loved the look of the first SH movie.

I don't want it to be official or true. Sorry.

Plus, isn't their script writer like... in prison or some shit for a DUI car accident that put his wife in the hospital? Sure, they can get another script writer, but I don't know how far along he was in the script before the accident, if at all, and it seems kind of stupid to film a movie for which you don't even have a completed story/scenes/lines.

Yeah, again. Sorry, but I hope this doesn't happen.

Yeah, Roger Avary caused an accident as a result of drunken driving. At the moment I don't think we know any names related to the project though, directors, actor or any other ties to the movie are a mystery at the moment.

Who the hell wants Avery back anyway? The guy gave one of the worst scripts ever written and created the single biggest downfall of the movie. Get someone else!

Personally, I would like to see what someone like Frank Darabont can do with a franchise like Silent Hill. He penned movies like "The Fly 2", "The Blob" and "Nightmare of Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors"...Not to mention I he wrote I think should have been the script that was filmed for The newest Indian Jones movie. It was called "Indiana Jones and The City of the Gods", Man that was an awesome script.

I also think his work on "The Mist" felt more like Silent Hill than the actual movie was. :p
Value your failures more than your successes. Successes only last until someone screws them up. Failures are forever. She left...and...I'm lost.

I'd rather see Avery and Gans stay the hell away from it. I personally think they both blow and yeah Avery won't be working on any blockbusters anytime soon.

Really? I think Gans did fine as a director. The acting/camerawork was fantastic.

The script was something to be desired though... So yeah, down with Avery. :P

Avery can stay away, Gans did a good job I think. I loved the look and feel of the 1st film, i just didn't like the story cos it's just not that good.
I'm still refusing to believe this info is true untill Konami and or Sony say something about it.

Seeing as though that source got the summary for the first movie wrong, I won't trust anything about the second. =/
